Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The big bushes in front of the rooms.
It had some character. It was like stepping back in time a little bit. It is an older property, but well kept.

When I first turned on the water for the shower, some small black particles came out of the water...instant dread. I was like, ohhh no! Of all the things to go wrong, you don't want the bathroom facilities to be one of them. Then a little sputter and it was clear. I ran it for several minutes after, turning it on and off again to check it's clarity. It ran clear from then on. Maybe I was in a room that hadn't been rented in a while.
The lovely woman at the front desk was so nice. Like chatting with an old friend. So kind and inviting. She gave me a room that made parking with a trailer easy. The room was clean, very spacious and comfortable. The train close by didn't bother me. I thought it would but it was surprisingly soothing. The parking lot is a little rough but manageable. Vending and ice machines all work properly. The shower was great. Perfect pressure and drainage. I couldn't hear the other guests or their t.v at all. I will stay here again and again.

If you check in to the property in the evening, you will very likely be in a long lineup as the management has decided to only have one person working the check-in desk. They were doing a fantastic job when we checked in, but it was way too much for one person. It sounds like this is a pretty regular thing - so don’t be surprised if you have a long wait to check in at the busy times!
Really nice property. Staff was exceptionally nice and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Would stay there again.

Had to park far from our room, but we got in very late.
The location was better than the other motels. Rooms were huge, and beautifully decorated.

Room had musty smell, and biggest surprise was that the train route was so close and frequent. Woke us up 3 times.
Clean facility, friendly check-in staff. Breakfast for very good.

The TV was grainy and lots of channels did not work, you can hear trains go by, the motel is old school but it delivers the essentials at a reasonable price, the stand out though is the friendly staff, they made us all very welcome, thank you

This is an outdated hotel that just needs some TLC. The floor near the bathroom (upstairs room) was very squeaky and we felt for those that were below us. The pool was closed when we were there but that was not reflected in the price.
All the front desk and breakfast attendants were friendly. The breakfast had a good variety of hot and cold items.

Breakfast closes at 9:00, a little too early for people on vacation. At night you might experience one or two trains going by. But in rooms far a way from the street and tracks it is not too bad.
Nice fully equipped big rooms. Large yard with pool (closed-it was March). Friendly staff and good breakfast in a nice environment.

There was a mix up with our payment through booking.com and I had to pay with another card. Then I had to work on getting reimbursed for the first payment. It was annoying, but got resolved about two weeks later.
The breakfast was amazing! Way beyond what is normally offered because it was a true restaurant.

Couple more TV channels?
It was clean and comfy, though they might need new mattresses....if you are a firm sleeper. Microwaves and fridges, decent electric outlets. Mission style motif rather than chain hotel plain. Great hot breakfast.

Because all the rooms are accessed on the outside it was noisy.

Liked it all. Best room experience in all 10 days on the road! Not really near anything within walking distance..
Retro faux western mission was well done. Easy room access. Fabulous front desk. Great breakfast setup. Windows to open front and back in-room were great. Comfy beds.

The trains were loud every 4 hours or so. (Not something that can really be helped)
Homey, comfy, and spacious room. Good breakfast. Helpful, friendly, and accommodating staff. Convenient location. Everything was clean and worked.
