Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Telephone was broken. Electric outlets came out of wall or lamps when I tried to unplug them. Kitchen assistant wiped off crumbs off waffle maker with same rag she used on the counter
Breakfast was very good. Lots of variety and good choices. Room was good sized and had refrigerator, microwave, and small coffee maker.

The front desk clerk, who I believe was the manager was exceptional. We called for a shuttle from the airport and because it was later and her shuttle driver had left she called for an Uber for us. She called me back to let me know exactly what kind of car and where to go. In the morning she worked with us to get us back to the airport a little before the normal shuttle time. She was so nice, listened and made it happen! I am sorry I didn't get her name but she definitely is an asset for the hotel.

The only thing I didn't enjoy was that the walls were too thin; I could hear the next door neighbor's entire discussion at 7 a.m., so I couldn't sleep.
The breakfast was delicious, the staff was welcoming, and the hotel was immaculate. Mrs. Laverne was very courteous to all, kept everything stocked, and kept the dining room clean. One of the reasons I would make another reservation at this hotel is because of Mrs. Laverne.

The couch was old and not very comfortable, with broken springs. There was poor lighting in entry room. Should have been a floor lamp beside couch. The fridge wasn't very cold, and had no freezer section. The bed pillows were very small, and the mattress was a little too firm, although that's better than too soft. The exterior was nice and updated, but the room seemed old and worn out. The traffic outside was super loud (our room was on the end of hall nearest to freeway entrance).
We liked the separate rooms and the spacious area. The staff were friendly and helpful. And breakfast was good. I liked the size of the bathroom and all the counter space! And the location was good for where we wanted to go.

No comforter was available for sofa sleeper. Controller on fridge was broker so I was unable to adjust, to keep items as cold as I would've liked.
Customer Service, Location, Size of Room and price were good in comparison!

Location, not great, but there are at least 5 other hotel properties located in the exact same area. Reason=noisy area, airport, train and highway.

Some areas of the rooms seemed a little worn (scratched paint, caulking not applied all the way to the edges), etc.
Clean and kept up to date. New bathroom flooring and tub shower. Clean comfortable beds.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our TV was not connecting properly and someone came up right away to fix it. Everything was clean. The breakfast was good and upkept.

I didn’t like how my key stopped working almost an hour before my checkout time, felt like I was being rushed out before check out, couldn’t get into my room luckily my kids were still inside.

Gym is in really bad shape, basically unusable.
Staff was amazing, super attentive. It was impressive how fun and nice they were. Breakfast is very good. Rooms are clean and spacious.

I think the rugs should be washed more frequently. Lots of noise at night on the Interstate.

The only reason I didn’t give the hotel a 10 rating was because the toilet was broken. But it was an easy fix.
Everything was so nice and clean, and the staff was wonderfully friendly. The hotel was easy to get to and from. We were comfortable and relaxed. Highly recommend!
