The carpet was pretty old, and the blanket was a little itchy. Also, the children’s play ground equipment was actually vintage. I thought it was cool, but probably not the safest for kids.

Very comfortable, very clean, up-to-date. Professional staff. Breakfast would be nice, but they've obviously updated the place & are renovating the indoor pool. Oh, and you can see & easily walk to the Star Line Ferry dock.

Needed a bit of TLC. One of the lights in the room kept flickering and the drain of the tub didn't drain too well. I let the staff know about it, but those issues were not taken care of before I left.

Check in was easy and staff was very friendly and very helpful. The hotel is in a good location and a good value, especially since it was the weekend of the labor day walk across the bridge

The furnishings are outdated style but look good.The mattress was not very comfortable, it was an economic firm mattress, we were able to sleep. The pool is down for repairs, which is too bad. We looked at that as we went to inspect the common area where the one small microwave is at the front of that pool building. The cost of the room was not in line with the actual value. It's a shame that every hotel in the area there price gouges on this last weekend of summer. We stayed in the Thunderbird only one night and if we don't find a better value anywhere else outside of Mackinaw City we would stay there again.

We went up for the Labor Day Bridge walk. Location was great in proximity to the ferry dock. It was not as congested being south of the hub of the activity. Parking was adequate at the hotel. Our room was very clean. The fellow at check in was very nice, accommodating us as we arrived early and the room was ready. We stayed at an unrelated place a previous year, Thunderbird was a better place and a relief when we arrived to find it better than some negative reviews we read. It is an older property but having traveled many places in northern Michigan and the UP it is not uncommon.

Pool under construction when I searched for a hotel I specifically wanted a pool didn't find out Till we went to the pool we would have to go nextdoor and use that one. Ants at the kitchenette area.

The pool was closed, like hole in the ground bombed out closed. Dated and mismatched furniture, even the baseboards were brown, white, thick, thin, nailed on with roofing nails…

No breakfast. Indoor pool on the property was being renovated. Spiders hanging out on the outdoor soffit by our room door. Didn't see any in our room though. Pricey but that's Mackinaw City in the summer.

The location was close to the boat docks. Comfortable bed. Decent room size. Older but clean hotel.

Great location. Easy walking to restaurants and sights in town. Room was very quiet for sleeping. Windows can be opened for fresh air and had screens.

Bed was not very comfortable & there was no microwave. The refrigerator was very small.

It was right off the interstate & within walking distance from town. Staff was very friendly. Liked being able to park in front of our door.

No thunderbird there! Spiders in room and smelled stuffy. Pool under construction so had to drive to another hotel to use, which they didn’t tell us we could use another one until our last day! Staff not in office during open times. Understaffed

The pool was inoperable and looked like it had been for a while. That was not mentioned on the website. Also they were woefully understaffed at check in.

Support staff was wonderful. The cleaning people and everyone we encountered beyond check in was great.
