Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Great location in the loop. Elephant and Castle Pub right next to it. Helpful staff. Comfortable beds, clean rooms.

United KingdomThe only thing I did not like is that it took a long time for housekeeping to come to the room. So, there was a couple of days in which we didn't go out, as I was not feeling good, so the room was not done on those, as they were coming quite late (they came around 3pm one day and almost at 5pm on the other). But if you are staying and leaving during the day, the room will definitely be done when you get back,
Not super close to the centre, but that is why we wanted to stay around Loop area. Room was wuite big and nice. Maybe not the most modern room you'll find, but functional, clean and big sized. Toilet had all the toiletries (shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, body cream). There are water dispensers on the corridors with free reusable bottles. You've got a mat in the room for exercise. Lovely area downstairs for working if needed (with complimentary coffee/tea) and a great gym. Great pub downstairs, open until late and with lovely food and drinks offer. Food hall round the corner which is great too.

United StatesNo major complaints. Sitting area in the room consisted of a chair - a small couch would easily fit. Coffee machine in basement was broken. A small fridge in room would have been nice.
Staff were very helpful. Large reception/lobby area. Adjacent restaurant was very good (although breakfast offerings were not extensive) Clean rooms. Sitting/work area in basement was nice.

CanadaI did not like that since my arrival the room was not completely clean, especially the carpet, and I had to request the housekeeping service daily when it should be an automatic service or request it when checking in since it is difficult to remember that they will not clean the room if You don't ask for it and being on vacation, at least we gave it importance.
The location where the hotel is located is close to everything within walking distance. Very comfortable and convenient bed and very good to have a refrigerator and microwave in the room

BrazilMy room was with a lot of dust. I have requested a soap bar, coffee refilling, and housekeeping, but during the days I stayed there, I never saw they came at the room for this. To not be unfair, the last night I found a housekeeper at the corridor and asked if I could have some coffee, which I got it in less than 30 minutes
Localization, size of the room, street view from.my room. I had a situation with medication that must be under refrigeration all the time, and prior to my flight back home, Roxana was very kind, helping me with a solution to my issue.

United StatesAC did not seem to work very well in our room, but requested and received a fan within 10 minutes. Not nearly enough, nor conveniently located electrical outlets. (Offer/install power strips or something…) Chair/cot pull out has seen better days.
Location in Central Loop, very convenient. Staff (Guest Services), complimentary filtered water, expresso, restaurant attached. Facilities/room clean and quiet! Great value!

NetherlandsI'm staying in a Queen Superior Room (upgrade Booking.com Genius) I love the location (name says it all). Room is decent size, kitchenette w/ Nespresso machine, fridge, and microwave (no utensils or drinkware). The bed is extremely comfortable. Decent size TV w/ 48 channels. Wifi is okay (and included). Very good value for money. Even had Amazon packages delivered and brought up to my room 😍
