Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaNot a big deal but having to pay for parking instead of it being included with the room price.
The room was just right, not super big but comfortable. The bed and pillows were comfortable (soft but not overly). The AC unit worked great so the room stayed perfect temperature the whole time. Room was overall very clean. It’s nice that you can park right outside your room, extra convenience. Hotel is maybe a 10 minute walk from Fishermans Wharf and a (scenic!) walk 30-40 to Cannery Row. Easy 2 minute drive & 10 minute drive respectively. Plenty of restaurants and cafes within a 5-10 minute walk of the hotel.

United KingdomIf you use googlemaps to find hotel, then might be best to put in 'Krua Thai restaurant, Munras Avenue' as googlemaps is confusing and takes you to the back of the hotel where there is no entrance.
The bed was comfortable and shower was roomy and powerful. Decoration and size of the room and facilities were OK. It was handy to be able to park outside the room. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. It had a nice, small pool with sunloungers. The hotel was very convenient being close to the main street and 15 minute walk from Old Fisherman's Wharf.

ChinaWe stayed at this hotel in room 177 on February 17. I was unpleasantly woke up by a constant noise outside at about 3 o'clock. I thought there was a construction outside because the noise sounded like someone used a shovel to hit the ground. It sounded basically every couple of seconds, sometimes loud, sometimes quieter. All in all, the sound was disturbing. I listened to this noise and laid in bed for more than an hour, and finally I couldn't stand it anymore and went out of the room to see where the noise source was, and it turned out to be very quiet outside. I guessed that noise may result from a leaking air conditioner, the water of which fell on a metal surface. In all I hope the hotel can check out this issue so that future guests are no longer disturbed.
This garden-style hotel is beautiful and serene, with plenty of parking lots. The breakfast is delicious though not free.

AustraliaRoom size was quite small for international travellers (for locals with not as many suitcases might be okay). Location is not in the centre, some homeless people were seen up the road (not at the hotel though which is good).
Room was clean and aircon was great. Parking right in front of room was very convenient. Walking distance to a strip of restaurants and cafes.

United States of AmericaCar with smashed out rear window in the parking lot near our room was a bit unsettling. Truck in the parking lot with hood up like it was being worked on. Bar could have stayed open later.
Room was nice, roomy and clean. we liked being in walking distance to many attractions down on Alvarado St. , the wharf and Cannery Row. Just a 10 minute drive to Carmel.

United States of AmericaParking was $17/night. I don't recall a parking fee last year and given the amount of parking available, I'm pretty bummed to have had to pay that on top of everything. I can't quite figure out the room situation. Last year we booked a standard king room and our friends did as well. Our room was tiny with only a small bathroom and not much room around the bed. Our friend's room, by contrast, was huge (literally 3+ times the size). We were told that it's because we were in an older building. In an effort to have a bit more room, this year we splurged and booked a King Suite which was significantly more expensive, yet seemed to be about the same size as our friend's "standard" king room. The bathroom was amazing, but there's no way we're going to pay that much again...we just want the decent-sized normal King room. The hot water was laughable...we got about 5 minutes before it was all but gone which obviously isn't enough for two people to shower. To my knowledge, there's no elevator to the second floor where the suites are. We're young enough that this isn't normally an issue, but I had a torn meniscus and carrying the luggage up and down the stairs was a nightmare. Finally, the suites are next to the hotel's office and it was a bit noisy. Normally not an issue, but still.
This was our second stay at Casa Munras and we will quite likely return as the location is great and the rooms are nice. We splashed out on the King suite this year which was cool but...see below.

United States of AmericaWe loved the hotel and pool but there was a wedding there and we were placed on the floor below those groups. At all hours of the night we were woken up by excessive noise, loud banging, slamming doors, and it ruined the otherwise wonderful stay.
We love this area of Monterey, close to Alvarado street and great food and a quick drive to Cannery Row.

United States of AmericaOur room was on the bottom floor and we experienced some movement noise from the room above. But other than that it was fairly quiet.
It was a good location with easy access to Carmel, Pacific Grove, and Monterey attractions. And we were within walking distance to a number of restaurants. Our family of six were accommodated in two rooms, which the staff had arranged to be fairly close to each other.

United States of AmericaThe sound of the heater turning on and off was loud and bothered us throughout the night. The bed covers and pillows were stained in some places. The TV is very outdated and may be difficult for older guests to maneuver.
The staff was attentive and nice. It's in a great location and we felt very safe in our room.

United States of AmericaParking was a bit of an issue. There was one night where all the spaces were taken and we had to park in a handicap parking spot far from our room.
The location is perfect, the amenities were top notch and there was a coziness to our room. The restaurant had great options. We definitely plan to return.
