Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SlovakiaNice stuff, small but very cute and clean room. No breakfast were available, but we did like complimentary coffee, cookies and perfect water station. Hotel is right in the centre, perfect for exploring city.

MaltaRoom a little small (not much space for luggage open) but there was a little cloak room to store them in.
Perfect location, right next to Union Square and close to different public transport stops. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Staff were nice, and I appreciated the free cookies/popcorn/water/coffee in the lobby

FranceIt's an older hotel whose charm means that certain modern comforts are absent; the windows and walls are quite thin - the traffic outside as well as a crying baby in a nearby room awoke us more than once, but hotel does pre-equip the rooms with packets of disposable earplugs. We didn't need it during our stay, but there does not seem to be any air-conditioning.
Free cookies and iced lemon water at reception! The hotel itself is very well located, with valet parking very nearby (for an extra fee), and not far from many touristy locations. Very clean and comfortable hotel, very nicely decorated. Staff were generally great and accommodating.

ItalyNice hotel right next to Union Square. The staff is very friendly and helpful, there is a corner in the hall with fresh water, tea, coffee, cookies and apples. The rooms are clean and comfortable. There is not A/C but at this point of the year it didn’t matter. Go there !

United States of AmericaWe loved everything, they provided a extra fan in the room, had coffee and popcorn, fruit in the lobby and flavored water, it is close to walgreens, and Macy's, Neiman Marcus and the cable cars were right out front.
We absolutely loved our stay here from the moment we checked in, the staff were lovely and we were lucky to be on the top floor in a queen suite for our anniversary and his birthday, the room was spotless clean, the bed was so comfortable and the rubber ducks for the bath were the perfect touch. It was quiet and to make it even better Alisha in the lobby bar was so nice, we were impressed how nice the hotel room and the staff were, next door is the sears restaraunt, and Lori's 50's diner on the corner was fun for lunch, the street felt self and very clean, and we can't wait to return, it made our special occasion perfect... Thank you.

GermanyNothing. No A/C, only ventilator, but that was fine in April. Thick curtains keep the afternoon sun/heat out.
Directly at Union Square with close by Cable Car stop. Not as expensive as the big hotels. Good room size. You can decide to keep the linen instead of changing them when they are still okay, good for the environment. (Please also do that with towels!)

NetherlandsStayed here for a week. Room is very clean and roomier than expected. There is a walk-in closet in the room which is very convenient for storing your purchases and luggage. The location was perfect right across Saks Fifth Avenue in Union Square. All day free coffee and tea in the lobby, and every other day popcorn. Microwave is also available. Staff was very lovely. Enough eating and breakfast options in less than 2 minute walk. This is the hotel to stay in San Francisco.

SwedenMy only negative comment has nothing to do with the hotel itself, but guests should know that there is a lot of activity around Union Square that may shock you. While we never felt physically unsafe, we saw plenty of human suffering and tragedy during our brief visit. Watch where you plant your feet when strolling around.
Staying here was a pleasure, particularly for the affordable price. The hotel felt very safe all hours of the day. The personnel in the lobby were friendly and knew their stuff so all questions we had were promptly answered. There was even a small bar every night and a popcorn machine some evenings. The hotel felt rustic, but that didn't mean the room was felt ancient. It was tidy and clean, though the bed a bit too soft for my liking. The lack of an AC was not a problem, the window opened wide enough and we did not miss the noise an AC would have come with. All in all we were very satisfied with our stay.

United KingdomThere were no breakfast facilities. And it’s slightly inconvenient that the hotel requires a 70 dollar temporary payment for the duration of the trip as this effectively means that I have less available money in my account during this period. The shower’s water output was also quite weak meaning it wasn’t very easy to use.
It was located in a very convenient and accessible place, right in the city centre and also near to public transport like the BART. The hotel offered complimentary biscuits which were really nice and the rooms were cosy and fairly comfortable. The staff were fairly friendly and helpful.

PolandFantastic location, very close to the BART station and other sites. Beautiful place with long history, great atmosphere. Nice and spacious room. No breakfast in the hotel, but there is a great cafe just next door opened from 6.30. The hotel offers some apples, cookies, hot and cold water, coffees, etc. in the ground floor.
