The Christopher Dodge House did not disappoint . Loved the history of the building and surrounding area. The employees were attentive and sweet and just added further to the ambience. Beds were super comfortable and breakfast was delicious! View of the capitol building was an added bonus. Would definitely recommend!

The breakfast was outstanding; the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming; and the 24-hour coffee/tea/snack room was much appreciated! The room itself was spacious, and I particularly appreciated the attention to historic detail.

So quaint and warm. Lovely decor and charming Queen Suite. Lovely breakfast area with delicious home baked scones and breads. The home made cinnamon swirl pancakes were Devine!

Having a wine hour in late afternoon for residents to get together. I’m from CA where this is routine at B&Bs, but maybe not on the East Coast.

Breakfasts were wonderful, something new each morning. Very large and comfortable bedrooms!

didn’t realize the first night ( because we didn’t read 😳) that there were additional pillows in the closet. Unfortunately, because of that, we didn’t have a great rest because the pillows on the bed were over stuffed and terrible for our necks! Night 2 was much better!

Road noise may put some off but I’m sure if you contact the property they can accommodate a room away from the highway. Didn’t bother us at all.

Everything. Beautiful building inside and out. A lot of care and thought has obviously gone into ensuring guests are looked after. Common room with coffee and water was available 24/7. Breakfast had lots of continental breakfast and two hot options. Staff were so polite. Property is a short walk from the State House at the top end of the city. Lots of attractions nearby. Room was immaculate and the bed sheets are amazing!! Where can I buy?? Parking is a bonus and there is an overflow so don’t panic if you arrive and no parking next to property. We loved our stay. We leave tomorrow but already leaving this review as love the place so much! Thank you.

The only thing was the unexpected soundproofing in the windows that prevented you from opening them up. I personally like having fresh air especially when sleeping so that was the only qualm. But still no biggie and I’m sure they have rooms that don’t require the soundproofing.

Great staff and the house is beautiful. There was also a nice common room with good coffee always available.

I loved the historic feel of this place. Beautifully renovated. Okay maybe the water pressure wasnt spectacular but the room was huge, the bed was super comfy with excellent linens and amenities. Breakfast included was lovely. The common room with complimentary tea coffee etc was beautiful.

The room was very lovely. Period details. The canopy bed was cool but difficult to climb in and put of so keep that in mind. Otherwise very nice stay.
