To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The nub would not retract when you turned the knob (it was not in the locked position) I was stuck in the bathroom for about an hour (literally) twisting, tugging, yanking on the door knob several times (I had to rest between sessions) I reported the incident to the front desk
Other than the bathroom door, I have no complaints.

United States of AmericaThis was my second stay here. First was ok, and this one was too, however, there were several roaches in our bathroom. I told staff at checkout and she was so apologetic and told me she’d let the manager know immediately.
The staff was friendly. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were great.

i enjoyed the giant photos of various landmarks and the city’s skyline view , these blown up photos are basically the head board to the beds in all the various rooms that I’ve personally stayed in …. it has been done so tasteful , clean and artistic . I think it’s a wonderful touch & it was a good experience overall

United States of AmericaWeird that some channels on tv didn't come in, because, i think the maintenance guy said, something about the antenna or something. He kept pointing towards the ceiling. Why don't you fix the problem to the tv's, so that all channels comes in.
Location and maintenance was quick to fix my problem, which was tv having a line in it.
