Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaPrice was kind of high... but maybe appropriate for downtown San Diego. Parking was an add-on charge of $50 for a spot in the outdoor lot. Small coffee-maker and not enough coffee. Not enough counter space for toiletries and food. Breakfast was standard hotel food.
Nice location in San Diego Gaslamp district. Room was small, but clean. Decent for a short stay. Staff were very nice. Kind of odd that the sink was not in the bathroom but in the room itself.

HungaryRoom: A very tiny room with a TV that you cannot connect to your laptop or watch any of your fave streaming services. I would work on that asap for those who'd like to catch up on their shows late in the evening. Breakfast: 1. Poor options of breakfast which is an assimilation of scrambled egg mix from a packet, microwaved to powdery mess. 2. Really unfortunate use of single use plastic. We asked for a plate and cutlery but the manager on desk said they just don't keep any. Parking: Parking on the streets is $6/day and the hotel charges $50 / night. So we chose to park on the street about 200m from the hotel.
Location: The hotel is very well placed right next to the Gaslamp district, however, the property lies in the middle of a homeless encampment. This unfortunately makes the property locale very dirty and poorly kept. But the hotel itself is very clean We chose to have breakfast elsewhere which is a much better option than to have at the property.

United States of AmericaThat area has lots of homeless people around. Some of them come up to people and hassle for money and cigarettes.
The breakfast is abundance, generous with supplies. Coffee is plentiful throughout the day. Staff is helpful. Wifi is good. Location is convenient.

Saudi ArabiaNoise level. The rooms need better windows to reduce the outside noise. Even the ear plugs didn't help at night. Housekeeping only every two days. I could request cleaning but why should I have to? No sink or mirror in bathroom. Sliding bathroom door also a pain - difficult to open and close and noisy. Sink and mirror in the middle of the sleeping area. Sink too high up to serve as a bathroom-type sink. Elevator a bit creaky. Expired inspection license, though the staff said the new inspection had been completed but they didn't receive the new certificate yet. Okay, post a message clarifying this!

United States of AmericaThe sheets on the bed were very dirty... as in stained... in 3 separate places on my side of the bed. Looked like rust stains or some such. Was pretty gross to look at. I just put one of the blankets on top and slept on top of it. The window AC unit would kick on like every 3 seconds no matter what temperature it was set at. Was very annoying. The windows were also pretty filthy. I recognize that it's extremely hard, and pricey, to clean exterior windows on the 4th floor... but these had some nasty rust looking stains to go with tons of water film.
Celeste, I believe was her name, was exceptional at her job when she checked us in. I used to work for a Staybridge Suites and she did everything correct and read the room perfectly.

United KingdomParking was Excessively priced for what was on offer at $50 a night. Just 200m south in the next block was a car park that was only $20 per night. Parking on Market. The hotel was expensive for no gym, or pool. But the location made up for it.
The Comfort Inn was very comfortable, and clean. The service staff were helpful. San Diego is expensive so relative to the area the refunded amount was a fair price offered for the hotel. The location was excellent for the centre of San Diego, and the Conference Centre at a slightly reduced rate compared to other places in the area.

United States of AmericaThe hardwood floors were dirty in the room. Also it gets very loud at night... especially if you are staying Thu-Sun night. I brang my own earplugs because of other reviews and they were right.
Affordable and near many attractions and restaurants in downtown. Bed was comfortable, microwave and refrigerator in room, and the room had cable service.

CanadaThe rooms are only cleaned every second day, but service could be requested if needed. The room was very small.
Location was excellent, block from pharmacy, 4 blocks from grocery store and numerous restaurants within a few block section, one mile from waterfront, close to Hop on Hop Off Trolley and other public transportation. Breakfast had a good hot and cold selection. Room was clean when we arrived. Front staff was always very friendly and helpful.

AustraliaDated fixtures and sketchy people camped outside. Building requires a facelift/ renovations. Many of the surrounding streets are litter strewn and covered in tents and an enormous homeless problem. Bit depressing but not the responsibility of the hotel.
Nice, friendly staff and a great breakfast host elevated this older style hotel to higher rating in my opinion. Location in the gaslamp area and near the Marina district was fantastic. A half day on Coronado via ferry and cycling the sights was very worthy.
