To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United KingdomWe didn't rent a car during our short stay, we used uber and were able to visit a few sites at reasonable prices. You must visit Manhattan and Hermosa beaches, for us these were the best and most friendly places to visit. Be prepared to spend though, the USA is expensive and have taxes added to everything!!

Finally reception said they would call and have them call me back. 2 hours later they called me back. We already ate a cold dry sandwich from the Starbucks on location. We had to leave at 4 am. Couldnt wait to eat at 10 pm. Probably worst experience for eating at hotel in my life. Very disappointed. Should stay with Marriott.

As a hotel clerk myself I don't complain arbitrarily either Also I paid $267 and they charged my $100 more because I think they claimed they only had kings left although it was guaranteed by booking.com I had to flag chase down the shuttle driver from the airport on foot with luggage 🧳 by jumping in front of the door area.

The check in was fast and my room was quiet despite it’s proximity to the airport…and very clean. Just there for an overnight to get an early plane. Shuttle got me there on time despite a lot of LAX traffic. All I wanted.

AustraliaI was in transit flights with a 16 hour wait but not an over night stay. I was told the room was US$99.00 but much more was deducted from my Visa Card. AUS$355.00 I also paid additional for buffet breakfast which was AUS$74.00 all of which is excessive. I was disappointed in the room fee particularly, as all I had was one capsule of coffee. United States of AmericaUpon arrive at 12:45am to the hotel there was only one staff member working the desk and all airline pilots take priority over other guests for check in. We were staying at the property for less than 6 hours and wanted some much needed rest, there needs to be a better way to expedite the check in process or staff front desk properly. Rooms were fine, definitely ware and tare on the rooms was noticable.
Proximity to the airport was nice and there was no noise issues.

GermanyThe staff at the breakfast were not really nice and when we wanted to switch tables because the previous table was too close to the front door and was too cold they made us feel like it was a huge inconvenience.
The location and the shuttle to the airport is very convenient. The room was quite big.
