Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe perk of day passes to Crunch gym across Cooper Square is a bonus, but that location of Crunch is poorly maintained and stuffy. I recommend walking the neighborhood for a better workout.
This hotel still has it's shine after many years in the game. I hadn't stayed here in 12 years, and though the restaurants and public spaces are quite different, there is still something effortless about the property. We lucked out with a room on the 19th floor: the best views in this part of the city - a sweeping panorama from the UN to financial district, including the Brooklyn waterfront and all three downtown bridges. Close access to many excellent neighborhood restaurants and shops is also an advantage.

United States of AmericaNo in room on-demand movie options. Also, housekeeping began knocking at 8am and this happened twice more after being told we weren’t checking out until 11.
Very clean, modern room. Hip vibe. Lovely cafe/ bar on the ground floor and serene glass office/ lounge area (small but nice) on second floor overlooking beautiful courtyard. Area is adjacent to SoHo and Nolita with great restaurants and shops.

United States of AmericaThe room had an awesome view of city building that was obstructed by a hug tv right in the middle of the window. There was a sewage smell that came from the bathroom, that we just chalked up to being a NY thing.
The Standard is centrally located with plenty of food options and dispensaries in walking distance. This was a birthday trip for my girlfriend and Nia who works there, was super helpful with offering ammenities to make our stay special.

GermanyMy only wish for change would be a better possibility to work in The Perch. The table is knee-high with the seating and a real back killer if working with a laptop or paperwork. It's a lovely space, not overly frequented, and would be a particularly lovely work space if the furniture were a little more suitable.
The view from the 20th floor - even whilst showering! - was breathtaking. An absolute highlight at all times of day. Everything was extremely clean, and the staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly.

United States of AmericaWe specifically asked for a noise free apartment, away from the elevators, ice machines, loud music etc. What we did not expect was the loud noise from the bathroom exhaust. The maintenance staff came to check and told us that during night time, if the sensor was working properly, the noise would automatically go off. The maintenance guy was very nice. But, apparently he was not able to fix it and even suggested the reception would trade our room. We couldn’t sleep at all for the first two nights, but after 8 night stays, we kind of dealt with it by using ear plugs. We did get a call from the reception mid week asking about the noise. In the end, the hotel did not charge one of the taxes, but we wish we could have gotten a larger discount for such inconvenience.
Nice decoration and good location. Walking distance to many nice restaurants and stores.

United States of AmericaThe only thing missing is an in-room coffee maker but the cappuccinos from the Cafe downstairs make up for it.
Fantastic views from both of the rooms we booked. We could see the sunset from the bed. The size of the room is good for NYC. The location is good, in close proximity to NYU and easy walk to many other neighborhoods.
