눉We have stayed in lots of motels during a tour of calafornia. Some were excellent some not as good, but the poorer ones were usually cheap and you get what you pay for. This resort was not cheap, in fact it was more than twice the price of some good motels we have stayed in and it was the worst one we have been to. Facilities were poor with no TV, no shower(we had to walk across to hot pools to wash), no wifi, and no breakfast. The room and furniture were shabby and in a poor state of repair with cracked Lino, dodgy wiring with junction boxes with wires coming out, no attempt at decor, holes in walls where things had been hung and cobwebs hanging from ceiling. Neither of the cold taps worked and when I used gas cooker knob came off in my hand!!!! Curtains couldn't be opened and some light switches didn't work. There was air conditioning but it was very noisy and we had to turn it off to sleep. My husband and I are not usually complainers and accept that in cheap motels you don't always get everything you want but this room was not cheap and just because there are few accomodation options in an area is no excuse for lack of basic care and maintenance.
눇We were fairly late arriving and lady on reception was friendly and welcoming. Hot pools were a nice touch though decor very basic

눉The cottage was very run down, worn out and unclean. There was a full kitchen but no hot water in the sink or anywhere else in the cottage. You have to wonder how the mismatched dishes there were washed. The hot water heater had apparently been removed at some point. The built-in heater with wall thermostat must have also stopped working because there was a portable electric heater running instead. The sagging drapes were hooked on permanent wall attachments so there was no way to get daylight into the cottage without taking them down. Of course, if you did that, there as no easy way to put them back up. The "resort" is advertised as having free WiFi but the only WiFi was down the street at a cafe which is a separate business. I could go on and on but the problems are too numerous to list. We paid $220 for two nights there and you couldn't pay us to stay that cottage again. However, the motel style rooms are supposed to be newer and may be in better condition.
눇Hot springs were clean and hot.
