Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe cabin was nice. We had a king bedroom. The cabin space was too tight to accommodate the big king bed. The layout of all the cabins was compact too. For what the room cost you would have thought breakfast was included, but no that cost an extra $30 per person.
Views by the river.

United States of AmericaFirst the staff at front desk was very wishy washy. We felt many times as we were inconveniencing them and the best answer was the bus schedule is over their! Rooms were cabins and had a nice setup around them, but we had no room turnover each day so had to use same towels each morning as well as no coffee nor do they offer complimentary coffee in lobby you have to pay for everything. Garbage can in rooms were overflowing since no turnaround service as well.
Liked the location and the overall property setup. It was nicely put together, and we stayed in cabins near the water.

United States of AmericaLack of meal options except for the properties restaurant, however, the restaurant was top notch. Lack of breakfast options. expensive buffet breakfast, with no other options. Our cabin was near the river. No problem there, but all of the out door areas along the river next to the cabins were in terrible disrepair. also very dangerous with broken boards, etc. Front desk didn't seem to have any idea about the problem. Transportation was very good, but limited. That is a general problem with the Denali area.
We stayed in a one room cabin with king bed and private bath. Quiet. A little tight with the king bed, but very nice. Restaurant was excellent, good food, excellent service for evening meals. enjoyed the many firepits around the property.

United States of AmericaReally needs a refrigerator in the room. We stayed at 4 other hotels during this stay and this was the only place without a refrigerator of some kind. Especially given that the dining was closed and there was not breakfast included. We would have liked to be able to have a cold drink and microwave a breakfast sandwich. The halls were pretty noisy with guests in and out all night long (a Sunday night!) but that's not the fault of the hotel.
Great location in the park, right on the river. Staff went above and beyond to help us with a flat tire.

United States of AmericaThe restaurant quality does have a weird selection of dishes on the menu and they were indeed out of some items. Depending on what you order, your quality will also differ but that is definitely reflected in the price. The 15 dollar burger won't look the same as the 30 dollar steak. However the 9 dollar chocolate lava cake will blow your mind! The only thing that does bother me is charging $18 extra to pick people up from the train depot that is literally 10 minutes driving down the road. You are all transported together on a converted school bus which could hold 46 people. And everyone pays that fare. What an insane cash cow that is?! PS: The hot breakfast buffet is $25...
The property is literally located on the border of Denali National Park, next to a river offering some great views and spots to relax. The rooms, buildings, common areas and property in general were kept very clean even though they were at full capacity. The rooms are definitely not overpriced for the type and location they are in compared to other National Parks. Please keep in mind that everywhere in Alaska, places are understaffed. So if you have to wait a bit longer, the kitchen is out of a certain food or a staff member needs to go ask someone the answer to your question, just be understanding. They are trying the best they can.

United States of AmericaYes, amenities and services are limited right now due to the short-staffing, and there were at times long waits for food, but none of that impacted my overall opinion of the hotel, given the conditions they're working with this summer. What I would consider for the future, though, is that it's very difficult to get to other restaurants for dinner without a car of your own here, so options are a bit limited if you're relying on the shuttle service to get around (again, perhaps that's better when they're not short staffed). The room didn't feel really "worth" the nightly price here; it was small but clean and decently furnished, just a bit pricey for what you get. All that said, other hotels in the area are about the same, so I was pretty happy with my stay here and don't really have any complaints.
The staff here are truly wonderful -- this place is incredibly short-staffed this summer, like just about everywhere in Alaska at the moment, and the staff that are there this summer are working incredibly hard to deal with the large unexpected crowds flocking to Alaska this summer. Every staff member I interacted with, whether at the front desk, driving the shuttle, or taking your food order, was friendly, professional, and doing everything in their power to be helpful. If you're visiting this summer, please be patient and kind to the staff (I saw many guests take out their frustration on the staff -- it's not their fault that hotel management didn't hire enough staff this summer, and also didn't cap maximum guest capacity at the hotel either). The property around the hotel is beautiful, and a few hikes easily accessible as well. I ate at the restaurant both nights I was here, and food was tasty and reasonably priced (I live in CA, so I perhaps have a different definition of "reasonably" priced compared to other parts of the country). Overall, I was very happy I chose this hotel for my two nights in Denali, and I would happily stay here again.
