Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaTowels were very thin and floor mat was torn. No coffee maker. Only 1 bowl. Cups had lipstick marks. Toilet handle was very loose. Didn’t get check in information so had to call staff while waiting outside building.
Great location. Smelled clean, even in lobby and hallways.

United States of AmericaDid not like that there was no table to put things on, like when recharging phone. Had to put phone on floor, along with wallet and other personal items. Did not like that the only light in room was overhead, a lamp on the side table would have been good. The kitchenette was a nice treat, but there was no where to sit if you had something to eat other than on the bed. Need to make it more clear that your hotel is not on 1st Ave. but on 9th street, and have to make signage more viewable.
The bed was comfortable, The shower was fine. Almost nice and quiet, Your staff very nice. Just a lsuggestion, if you had mass transit maps in your lobby, would be nice thing.

NetherlandsFor online check-in, a company credit card was not accepted - the card must be in your name. Table under TV was missing. Freezer door-cover missing inside fridge. Not dealbreakers, but they should be present. Requiring a pre-assigned 6-digit code for the room door was annoying - I had to keep searching for the e-mail. It would be better if the code could be personally programmed.
Good location, with plenty of stores and restaurants close by. Having a kitchen makes it convenient to make coffee or cook small dishes. 5-7 min walk to subway. Very clean. Check-in and out is completely on-line. It is New York, so I expected the sounds of the city, and that is what you get day and night. The hotel does provide earplugs, but I did not need them.

United KingdomBecause I read the previous reviews, when I arrived I checked the bedding. I noticed that the bed sheets were stained so I emailed the management straight away and they were super quick at changing them. When they changed the sheets I realised that they were stained again 😅 I felt bad but I had to tell them again and they were super nice and quick. The management emailed me and said I could get a late checkout for free to apologize. Maybe the washing machine wasn't working properly, I don't know, but they were so nice and quick to solve the problem. I also asked for an extra duvet and that one was very stained and without cover. The cutlery wasn't very clean but I cleaned myself again before I used it. The room feels safe but I wish there was a way to lock my valuables while I was out. There is also no way to lock the door again from the inside completely. There is only a loose lock. The girl that was changing the sheets was super nice.
The hotel is located in the perfect location. I Loved the neighborhood a lot. The room is the perfect size and I felt at home. It was very cozy. You can regulate the temperature of the room yourself I will definitely book in again when I'll go back to NYC. I was on the 4th floor but I didn't mind it at all.

United KingdomSome of the furnishings are looking a little tired and dated and need replacing. The kitchen cupboards were scratched, peeling and worn and need a revamp and there was a very broken lamp in the room. The shower is also quite weak, power-wise. A safe in the room would've been good, as there isn't anywhere to put your valuables.
The location is fantastic - I love the East Village and it's where I like to spend my time in NYC. Check-in and out was super simple. The room was very comfortable and had everything I needed. I loved just being able to come out of the hotel right into the bustle of the East Village.

FinlandThe blinds didn’t cover the windows fully so it was quite bright in the morning - I’d recommend bringing a sleeping mask in case that affects you.
The room looked as expected from pictures, the staff was very accommodating when we requested luggage storage prior to check in, we were also able to go to a sister hotel to store our luggage on the day of check out. The location was also fantastic, it was very easy to get around the city from there, there were a lot of great spots for food nearby. All in all our stay was very positive and smooth!

United States of AmericaI like the property the only problem is it’s too loud at night, they need to isolate the windows to reduce outside noise because it’s hard to sleep. Also it is a 4 story building without elevator and is hard to get to the room with luggage

United States of AmericaSince it was a let-yourself-in type of hotel, there was no lobby or common area. You are basically paying for the room, nothing more.

SwedenSomeone living in upper floor decided to walk all night in thier room which vibrated my room and stopped me from sleeping, however hotel cannot control these kind of things.
The room was great and the facility was excellent, it was bit scary to see the hotel policy that you need to be super cautious, if you make bed linen dirty or towel dirty you might loose $150/day which is huge fine. Other than that insecure feeling all was ok.

United States of AmericaI didn't mind this but some would be put off by the clearly worn wood cabinets in the kitchen and broken wooden bed underdrawer. It was right on the street so there will be typical NYC noise. If you want slience get a chain hotel and a very high floor.
Excellent location, simple check-in, simple room: exactly what I wanted for this work trip. I appreciate that you were VERY CLEAR about it being a walkup and a digital check in. Some people hate that so it's v important to make it clear and you did that well. I also appreciate the paper sign since the entrance was not on the avenue where the address was listed. And that you sent info by text and email
