Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

BrazilMy room was close to exhausters. So every couple of minute it would turn on and it was very loud. It woke me up all night. They need better soundproof windows.
Location. In front of Penn Station, easy access to everything

United KingdomThe breakfast comes with the room, but it’s pretty bad, unfortunately. There just seemed to be a lack of pride in the food put out. The cooked breakfast meats were pretty greasy and there were no vegetable accompaniments like tomatoes, mushrooms etc… The oatmeal (porridge) was sad, lumpy, unseasoned and watery. The only decent food we found were the bagels and that’s pretty much all we ate after the first morning. If a nice breakfast is important to you, this may not be your place. Unfortunately we didn’t have much of a view from our room - we were only on the 4th floor and overlooked a courtyard filled with air conditioning vents. At check in, we were told that we might be able to get a room higher up in the hotel the following day - however, we would have needed to re-pack, vacate the room, put all our luggage in storage then wait until the new room was ready. On balance, the view wasn’t that important to us, so we chose not to. I guess it was nice of them to offer to upgrade us. Just bear in mind that you may not get put in a room with the view you’re expecting. Aside from the room, we found the hotel facilities to be a bit lacking. The rooftop bar was closed when we were there (April) and the downstairs bar was too loud to have a conversation. It was also pretty empty when I was there so had a bit of a weird vibe. Also $11 for a bottle of Modelo!! You are allowed to take drinks to the quieter and more comfortable lobby however.
This hotel is really well located and perfectly decent in terms of comfort and room facilities. The bed was pretty good, the bathroom was well sized and shower had good pressure. The gym facilities are pretty good with a range of cardio and resistance machines and some free weights and other equipment.

United States of AmericaAbility to control thermostat. It would not go below 68, which was a bit too much for me, especially during the night. Breakfast variety and more healthy food options (oatmeal looked and tasted like soup). Still amazed that no concern for environment--plastic utensils, paper plates and cups. Disappointing a bit.
It was very close to the Penn Station (walking distance, 5 min max). Very quick and easy check-in. Rooms are spacious and clean. I was on 15h floor with windows towards the inside "courtyard" and as a light sleeper heard absolutely not noise. Breakfast was standard with various options. One aspect that I found strange is having fruit baskets with different fruits placed at different tables in a large hall. It was not convenient to walk from table to table to take fruits one might like.

SpainOne elevator was not working, which created big lines to get access to the other 2 (and only) working elevators. Staff managing lines for taking elevators were rude. There were signs all over the hotel that elevators were supposed to be working back again on March 23rd 2024, but it was finally not true. Crowded area for breakfast, and missing some food 1h after opening (no bananas anymore, no bacon, ...). As for the room, everything was ok, but no fridge, and a very noise A/C.
Size of the room was kind of small, but I guess this is NY standard size. Location was ok, close to MSG, and Penn Station, so access from JFK airport is very convenient.

United States of AmericaWe don't need to complain to stay comfortable
When I complained about the room because it was in front of the air conditioning systems of the nearby building, and I couldn't sleep because of the noise, they changed me to a different room the next day in the same area but on a different floor.

EstoniaA bit outdated, but overall clean, BUT carpets in the room can cause issues to people with severe dust allergy. Breakfast is really disappointing, no fresh vegetables, cheese or charcuterie, plastic utensils, not worth it. Good thing they have gluten free bread though.

CanadaNobody came to clean our room. We were the for 4 nights and we’re not in the room from 8am-8pm for our trip. Only came once to clean room and it was at 6pm on our last night. But they did bring more towels so that was good.
