To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United States of AmericaThere was one older gentleman with white hair and a moustache who was horrible to my 77 yr old mother. He was arguing with her and told her she was a liar. My mom called me and I came directly down to fix the situation. He changed his attitude as soon as he saw me. I refuse for anyone to be rude or totally disrespect my mother. It takes a lot for her to get upset, so he must've pushed every button possible. Also there were about big ten ants walking around. There were two or three in the bed but it looked as if they might be dying.
The room was clean, and the majority of staff was great. The room attendant was awesome along with all the reception desk but one person. I'd stay again if that person wasn't working. I didn't get a chance to use the pool or jacuzzi due to the rain but if I come back I'm sure I would.

Puerto RicoThe good service received from the staff. One of our rooms had an unidentified strong smell. Upon notification the front desk staff moved us to an upgraded room in the same floor. They came to our room to ask again if we were satisfied and did not have any other problem. The breakfast area staff as well as the housekeeping staff were friendly and courteous.

United States of AmericaMy room key malfunctioned on me 3 times. It would not unlock the door to my room. Had to go down to the front desk and have the front desk clerk reset it for me. I prefer regular keys over key cards.
I liked the complimentary hot breakfast buffet every single morning. Everything was hot and there was a good amount of selections to choose from. Thank you Fairfield Inn & Suites for providing guests with a great experience! I also enjoyed my bed. Very comfortable and slept perfectly all 4 nights.
