Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe reception area is very small and not very nice, but once you get up to the room it’s great! There is not enough seating in the breakfast area for a hotel of 28 floors! It was overcrowded and noisy and we often couldn’t get a seat!
It was a great location for accessing the subway and getting around. The tin building is really close for good food and cocktails.

Basic and good hotel for staying is the south of Manhattan next to the Brooklyn bridge. Hotel staff are friendly. The room was small, and it is good only for sleeping. I like the happy hour at 5:00PM, but it should be open for more hours.

NorwayThe gym wasn’t the best, but it had everything you needed. The building itself is a little old and the hallways could use some updating. WiFi was mostly good, but at times unstable.
The hotel is in nice area with a short distance walk to the nearest subway. It’s also close to a lot of tourist attractions. The hotel was okey standard, good value for money, the breakfast was ok, but nothing super special. The staff was friendly.

CanadaThe hotel could provide slippers to guests, especially during the winters as the floors got pretty cold and just for sanitary reasons it would be a good addition. The housekeeping was also quite noisy with the doors and this was a little annoying when we had a late night and were trying to sleep in. Additionally, breakfast was fine but quite basic, and the room overall was much smaller than expected. We were two people and found it a little cramped. Comfortable but tight space.
The location of the hotel was good with easy access to things nearby and the subway for transportation. I also liked that there was tea and coffee served for 24 hrs and there was appliances like a microwave available if we needed. The seating downstairs was comfortable to just be in during the evening.

GermanyOne elevator was broken, and it took forever to get from the 24th floor down to breakfast and back up to the room. But that stuff happens. So all good
The location was amazing, Fulton street station is just a couple minutes away and you can catch most dunes lined from there. Breakfast was fairly small, but truly continental, and it was good. Huge plus is the 24/7 complementary tea/ coffee in the lobby. Rooms were quite small, but nicely done as well.

PolandThe biggest downside was the sound of the ventilation/heater, like an explosion and deafening humming noise every several dozen minutes - they should do something about that. The room is dark throughout the day because you can only see a wall of an adjacent building through the window - isn't a problem if you only plan to sleep there.
It's a great starting point to see the whole of Manhattan/Brooklyn. 5 minutes by foot to the pier that will take you to Brooklyn, 10 minutes to the pier to Staten Island(free with a great view of the Statue of Liberty), 10 min to the 9/11 Museum, and 10 minutes to the metro to everywhere in NYC. Great amenities, good breakfast, comfortable beds. Quite cheap, especially in January.
