Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaThe 1 issue we had was parking we paid for overnight parking but there was not enough spots available. We talk to other guest with the same issue. To me if you sell 20 parking passes you should have 20 parking stalls
Everything was great. Rooms are very clean. The location was great close to the bridge to get to the hwy

CanadaOur room was sweltering at night, the thermostat didn't work at all and if we opened the windows (both sliders were broken) we couldn't sleep because of the traffic noise from the busy road out front. It was our first trip to Portland and we were not prepared for the number of homeless people living around the hotel. We hope Portland can get move forward with mental health and addictions supports so that businesses can return to the beautiful downtown buildings.
The river view from our room was awesome and the food at the restaurant was as well. Beds were comfy and we loved the pineapple water when we arrived. The location is very 'walkable' to shops and restaurants.

United States of AmericaThe hot water in the room was so slow to heat up and didn't get more than lukewarm at best. Mentioned to front desk and it is a known problem. A little disappointing but did not ruin our stay by any means.
It was super clean. The towels and linens were top notch. Very comfortable.

United States of AmericaUnfortunately, the homeless population in PDX is out of control. This is not the hotels fault, but there are a ton of homeless camps near the building. Street noise was loud because of this and there isnt gated secure parking, so make sure all valuables are out of your vehicle when you park.
The beds were SO comfortable! I really liked the boutique style of this hotel and we will be staying at other locations in our future travels.

United States of AmericaThe soundproofing on the windows is borderline nonexistent. I moved rooms partway through my stay, so I experienced two opposite sides of the building, and in both the traffic noise coming through the window was terrible. The tram line running next to the building seems to be the biggest offender. In the first room there was also a flock of crows that perched right outside the window and woke me up at 5am, and it practically sounded like they were in the room with me.
Nice location, walkable to most attractions in downtown Portland and close to the waterfront. It felt like a relatively safe area to me. Staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The free wifi was great, fast and reliable enough that I was able to get some work done from my room. The later checkout time and free in-room refreshments were also nice perks.

United States of AmericaMy room was facing the Morrison Bridge and it was fairly noisy. I could hear traffic and a train/streetcar throughout the night.
The location was convenient, and the value was excellent. The hotel was clean and my room was comfortable. I enjoyed the little "pineapple" touches and fun styling.

United States of AmericaThe parking at the hotel is quite a stressful situation. Not enough parking for guests. Just the thought of maybe having to park in a secure lot several blocks away and having to walk back to the hotel is enough of a deterrent that we probably won't be back. Since there is a bar and restaurant, it would have been nice to have it open for breakfast too. Also, no microwave in the rooms was disapointing.
The room was really clean and the bed and duvet covers were very comfortable. Everything in the room was in good repair. Good water pressure and the heater worked great.

I liked the proximity to places in our itinerary. Having a restaurant downstairs was also a major plus. Very convenient in getting drinks and food if you’re too tired to go out for some.
