Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The property was in the middle of a renovation so pretty messy in the entrance and our room was a bit shoddy. It looked like everything was being done in a hurry and not finished properly.

Only 1 of the bedrooms got cool. No real cold air in the other bedroom. Maintenance came & looked at the A/C and changed the filter, but that did not fix the problem at all. Luckily it was manageable for 3 nights.
Had the 2 bedroom suite, which was perfect for our group of 4. Used the small kitchen & it had what we needed. Pool was nice & hotel close to water taxi dock. Maybe a 10 minute walk to the beach in one direction and a 10 minute walk to Publix in the other direction.

Mandatory Valet. It’s an extra cost and can be a hassle if you’re coming in and out. Self parking should also be an option.

Shower head was too low for my 6ft son to use comfortably. Food in restaurant was disappointing. Our burger was undercooked.

Needs deep cleaning and touch up work inside the rooms. The hallway carpet needs to be cleaned because it smelled strongly of mold.

Prices were very high for drinks and food. TVs were not that great. Breakfast should’ve been complementary and not high priced like some of the other drinks and amenities.

This hotel needs a bit of work , pool very cold and hot tub wasn’t working .The rooms are tired now and need upgrading . Most of the staff are nice but one or two need a bit more training , hopefully they give the hotel the TLC it deserves.

I didn’t like that the valet fee was $45+ tax for guests (that wasn’t mentioned on the booking site, nor was the incidental fee mentioned on the booking site) & our a/c vents in our room were dusty.
I like that location of the property, friendly staff & amazing views.

booked the best suite and no cork screw and staff unable to open a bottle of wine when we arrived back for a late meal. three nights. didn’t need housekeeping on day 2 but nothing on day 3 anyway

Since Covid, no hotel is cleaning rooms anymore, we tried twice to get a hotel room clean, no luck

The room we stayed in had an mildew smell there were many items like the microwave oven that seem to need cosmetic repair handle seem it was going to fall off. There was a leak on bathroom facet and the kitchen refrigerator needed to be looked at since it was frosted inside the coils. Seems that some more simple maintenance would bump this place up a rating.
The View and large balcony and room size was very nice. The location was amazing as the water taxi if you choose to use it, pulls right up to the hotel. The ability to jump on it and travel up and down the canal was awesome.

The bedroom lights did not work at all. Either a fuse had blown but for one room in a suite to be completely dark was unacceptable at the price point of the suite. Housekeeping should have been aware of this deficiency and caught it and fixed it.
