Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe spa area was nothing special, the water in the jacuzzi did not look clean and the space was too small to make you feel comfortable, especially when there are more people using it as well. There was more space for the lockers than the actual spa itself. The interior didn't impress me either. I did expect so much more to be honest. The pool in the main building was ok but full of jumping children so I would recommend going to the pool in the spa area opposite the resort, which has 3 lanes, and you can swim in peace as it's only for adults.
The resort was beautiful and spacious. The surrounding area was beautiful, green peaceful and very tidy. The hotel lobby was also very spacious and the bar area so relaxing. In the evening, we had the pleasure to listen to a life jazz band whilst sipping our tea and eating the delicious cheesecake (recommended!). The resort was also very close to Lake Geneva's shopping street, a 6 min car drive. Last but not least, 10 min away you could go and do a nice nature walk near the white river or go for a morning run. This stay really helped me to unwind and enjoy the time with my loved ones.

United States of AmericaGetting to your lobby from building 4 involved quite a bit of walking.
Our dinner at Geneva Chophouse was very good. The massage at the spa was very relaxing, but I wish I'd known we could use the sauna and whirlpool as well. Everyone was very friendly and helpful that we encountered during our stay.

United States of AmericaOur waitress did not offer us a menu for brunch. We had the breakfast buffet because we thought it was our only option until we saw other guests with menus. Menus should be offered during all meals.
Great location and amenities. Stylish and comfortable. The linen and pillows smelled clean. Great communication with staff and the front desk staff was super.

I enjoyed the whole experience of our stay at the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa. Our room was spacious and very nice. The beautiful sunrise from our balcony was amazing. We will definitely return.

United States of AmericaJust that little detail- we were 3 in the room and I had to ask the front desk to give us 3 waters , cups etc. and perhaps because booking through this site our room was ways at the end with a view of the parking lot….
There was a breakfast option in the Caffe . We didn’t go. We liked the Starbucks coffee and croissants.

United States of AmericaNot sure if winter is the greatest time to visit. If you have young kids, may be staying in Timber Ridge and accept a little lower quality room would make more sense that driving or taking trolly to the water park. I have a 7- & 9-year-old, we took them to sledding, this area is way unsecured and there is a sign that you sled on your own risk, my 7yo fell off a cliff into woods and had his cloth cut, luckily wasn't hurt. Some parent helped me to get him from approximately 3 feet down. We arrived at 1 pm but our room wasn't ready until 4:30 pm. They gave us some coupons to get coffee or ice cream, so that was nice of them. The staff in the hotel coffee shop seemed unhappy and unwelcoming. If you sleep late, you miss the morning/early afternoon room service, and you'll have to wait until late afternoon / early evening after they take care of all other rooms for new checking in guests. We booked a lakeview room for some extra charge, but it ended up being a frozen lakeview, so you can't really say where the lake is or the land. I guess this resort will be better off in summer.
Staff is very friendly. Facility is reasonably good.

United States of AmericaWe would have liked a microwave in room & freezer was not working well -out ice cream melted. We were somewhat disappointed with the chophouse food or underwhelmed -Brussels sprouts were burnt & most items were over seasoned. Glad updating is taking place - we enjoy coming here but were commenting that housing was getting run down & out dated.
Lunch in cafe & room service was very good. The yoga instructor at the fitness center was also very good. The spa treatments & staff were excellent .

United States of AmericaI wasn't thrille with room service options at all. The Timber Lodge waterpark being extra after paying 400.00 a night was a bit disgusting as well. The food and service in the Grand Cafe wasn't the best either. Typical resort faire.
Very clean, and I enjoyed the retro vibe, and the history of it being a Playboy Club. Too bad they've hidden all that away. The trolley drivers and front desk staff were super!!!

I went to Grand Geneva Hotel for the Christmas weekend, and it was an amazing surprise! It exceeded my expectations in terms of decoration, Christmas activities for kids, live music at the bar on the 24th and very good food - both in the special dinner and also during breakfast.

Your reservation specialist was very accommodating and helpful.

United States of AmericaThe pillows were awful. Our mattress also seemed to be on it's last leg because there was a noticeable worn spot, like it had been slept on too many times. I wish there was more information in the room about where the ice machines were. They don't have one on every floor, which is fine, but there should be something stating were we could find them, especially since the place is so large. We did ask someone and were told, so it worked out.
The rooms were very nice; clean and very spacious. The staff here is top-notch. They are courteous, friendly and helpful. It is a beautiful campus that is well maintained. It is wonderful to have such a nice restaurant (Geneva Chophouse) and a little dance club on the campus.
