We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

United States of AmericaMy only complaint is that Booking.com showed a hot tub. Like many other hotels, Hampton Inn has filled in their hot tub. I was really looking forward to that. I was told that they are monitoring media to update their photos.
Breakfast was fine. I liked the cleanliness. I am happy to stay in a hotel that is a little outdated in order to save some money.

United States of AmericaA/c unit had the control knobs broken off , luckily we had a Swiss Army knife with us and could move the nubs with the pliers so it was on the coldest setting. The sink in one of our conjoined hotel rooms started backing up and there was no housekeeping or maintenance on to fix or clean it, but the front desk girl cleaned up not realizing the minute she ran the water it backed up again. We used the sink in the other room, but if we would have had only one room I would have been requesting a new room or it to be fixed .
The staff was exceptional! Any request they went really above and beyond! Front desk checked us in early no questions asked, moved to conjoined rooms with a smile and follow up to make sure it was good and it couldn’t have been better! Rooms 107 & 109 is where it’s at!! The one room was a bit outdated ish which isn’t a big deal to us. It was clean and quiet and a/c was cold!! Stayed 4 nights for cedar point and ball tournament. Loved they were pet friendly!! The breakfast was one of the better ones I’ve had! I’ve found cedar point area properties to be super gross and subpar food if they included breakfast and this was not the case. If you can find something at this breakfast out of bagels, bacon, eggs, stuff to make breakfast sandwiches, waffles and more!

United States of AmericaBooking.com didnt ensure that your staff saw that I paid fully up front. So booking.com needs to better communicate with your front desks. Possibly put another TP toll in rooms when folks are staying 5 nights. That's all.
Free breakfast was good and a money-saver. Coffee choices very good, including very hot water. I lokes how quiet we could make the room with a portable fan.

United States of AmericaThe hot tub was down and has been for a long time so I would not stay here if that is important to you. The hotel elevator was also very slow and concerning at times. The individual rooms were nice and felt newer than the rest of the hotel but that does not over shadow the fact that there are still a few renovations that need to be made at this facility so that it feels and meets the standards of other Hampton hotels.
We liked the staff and how clean everything was. The staff especially Bree and Becca were really amazing. Anytime that we needed anything over our four night stay the hotel was great at meeting request for more towels and soap. We had an issue with a broken AC on our first night to which the front desk resolved for us immediately. The breakfast was also good and had nice options. This property was also cheaper to stay at than others in the area so that was a nice plus.

Room was comfortable. I was happy that the air conditioner was not on full blast when we arrived. We were able to check in a little early. Close enough to Put in Bay. Sandusky Ohio was a friendly town - not too small for a short get away from Michigan.
