Holy cow it's expensive for what you get. Don't get me wrong, it's a lovely place, but you're really paying for the view, the prestige (all the locals will tell you it's the nicest hotel on the island), and the perfect location in MV/Edgartown. For example, our single room at HVH, for the price of a modest beach house rental on LBI, was a bit... junky. The bathroom lock, one of the two device charging stations, and the hallway water dispenser were all broken. And weird things like the hangers were too large so everything in the closet had to sit at an angle; the pitiful shower spray was like a baby's sneeze. The room is pretty spartan and is basically charmless. We get MV is about going out, but for the money, we were expecting at least a few dazzles or charming surprises.

Fabulous location. Nice building a super helpful concierge and staff. The vibe on the veranda, with drinks flowing from the Club Room at the end of the day is lovely. The "heated" pool is nice (if boring). They make it easy to find your way around, and the staff made our stay there very nice. The restaurant is pretty good (OMG the truffle breakfast sandwich), but also has big misses (clumpy pasta? these are the basics, folks...), and is eye-wateringly expensive.

Thought on-site dining could have been better but better dining venues are near by.

Harbor View validates the saying “you get what you pay for.” Here you pay well and play well. They have golf carts to drop you off and pick up anywhere in Edgartown. They pretty much take care of everything. Great concierge services. Started original stay in a cottage suite. Plenty spacious and very accommodating but no view to speak of. Extended our stay and was move to a king with Harbor View. Less room but spectacular view of the harbor. Will choose this option from the start next year.

Booked a last minute weekend trip here with my 2 young daughters and didn’t know how the hotel would feel having them running around. Staff went above and beyond to make their time enjoyable. I will look to stay here every time I go out to the vineyard

Omgoodness…. What’s not to love. Location, amenities, restaurants, and now I have a new cocktail to perfect …. Drew-Bettini. Server Drew deserves a shout out … was exceptional in service, attitude and professionalism. The world needs more Drews. Our porter, from Russia soon to be pilot, was also awesome. No complaints on anything. Highly recommend.

Price is a little too high. Breakfast ends at 10:30am on Sunday and then they close the restaurant until dinner. Lunch available only at the pool bar.

Very friendly staff, clean room with very comfortable beds, heated pool, fire pits near the pool, free bikes. Just a beautiful place all together.

When my wife selected this room, we THOUGHT it included a view of the harbor. When I called the front desk I was informed the View IS available but, we would have to give up the room PLUS pay a higher nightly charge!

The downside was that we only planned a weekend getaway. My husband and I agree, that our next trip will be for a longer period.

From the moment you arrive on the property, the service is intentional and personalized. We enjoyed the ambiance and the culinary delights of the hotel restaurant, "Bettini". The breathtaking and relaxing views from the Oceanfront and Harbor view rooms have a restorative and recharging vibe. The Harborview Hotel exceeded my expectations. The location is walking or biking distance of local art galleries, boutiques, the light house, beaches and other wonderful restaurants. Our first visit, but not the last.

Everything is fine but the no elevator is a big disappointment considering the price we are paying. For our ages of 65, it might be a reason we would think twice before booking this hotel

Insufficient electrical outlets not attached to night tables. That the robes and slippers weren't free. Needed another bar rack for hanging overnight cases in the bathroom. That's it.

Amazing blueberry pancakes and stuffed French toast. Liked that almond milk was offered at the coffee station. Endive, pistachio, olive oil vinaigrette salad was a first and definitely not the end. Will definitely become a favorite to prepare at home when cooking for family, friends and ourselves.
