In general it was a decent hotel for the value. This is a very detailed review- The hallways felt a little worn, could use some updates. The room lighting was dim, the carpet could be updated. Our shower had a crack in the wall and the tv remote only controlled the cable and not the volume or on and off. I've stayed at more expensive hotels that were less nice then this, so in general very pleased

Very Comfortable bed, nice furniture, quiet air conditioner/heater. Generally a nice room, easy location to find. Easy drive to food. The staff was nice and helpful

The pool was small and so crowded with No towels. The room was not cleaned the best, (holey pillow cases, stained sheets) along with other things. Most of the breakfast was not available within an hour of breakfast starting.

The room size was nice. The location is in a good spot.

I had stayed the previous Saturday into Sunday and was told I'd be able to stay in the same room I had been in, or the 4th floor so I could have some quiet after a quick trip. I was first given keys to the first floor, then Kevin checked and was moved to the 4th floor. When I got off the elevator the smell of marijuana hit me like a ton of bricks. I immediately went downstairs and told Kevin. He was very helpful and moved me to the third floor, but he indicated that the alarms hadn't gone off so there really wasn't much he could do. He was going to send security up, so I'm not sure if it was resolved or not, but just be aware that you may run into this as well. I know marijuana is legal in Michigan, but it is still against policy to smoke anything inside a hotel room, and I expect the property to enforce rules in a timely fashion so the stay of others isn't impacted.

The room was comfortable, the shower was hot, Kevin at the front desk was very accommodating.

We had a queen suite. Unfortunately it was over the front entrance and so it was noisy. People outside at 3 am, guests pulling up with radios blaring, pulling away with tires screeching. The room itself was quiet, the forecourt was not.

We were disappointed by the complimentary breakfast. We don’t ask for much as the kids are only interested in cold cereal (not even the basic options of these were available and there was only skim white milk available), the butter was too cold so wouldn’t spread on toast, the scrambled eggs were not good (dry, bland). The coffee was good, the pancakes were fine, and the sausage patties were “okay.” This was our last hotel on a 2-week trip and ws to be a “grand finale” along with our visit to The Henry Ford. The kids were really looking forward to using the pool (looks big & nice) but it was closed due to unsafe water quality—of course we appreciate keeping us all safe but this was very disappointing. Given our experience, we wish we would have just gotten an inexpensive hotel/motel without a pool or breakfast options instead of splurging (for us) on this hotel.

The room itself was great—very comfortable beds (including the sleeper sofa; it was also great that the sleeper sofa had the bedding provided already without having to ask) and the bathroom was among the best we’ve seen (except that we couldn’t figure out how to turn on the eco-friendly mirror light!!).

Very pleasant staff at the check in desk. Breakfast area was clean and nice selections. Having mobility issues, the handicap room was nearly perfect (bed was a little high)

There seemed to be "questionable activity" in the parking lot shared with the hotel next door. Made us a little uneasy during our stay.

I would like to see an improved breakfast selection. There was no tea option for breakfast (I love green tea and have had it offered at other Holiday Inns). There was also no cereal or non-flavored oatmeal on offer. In COVID times, I’d like to see sanitary wipes offered for guests to use in their rooms too.

Got to the room and there was damage to 2 walls. Had to pay $100 for accidentally damage but I made sure to take pictures of the damage so if they try to charge me I will fight it. The pool was very cloudy and had a white stuff floating onto the water.

The noise!! We had to sign a thing about quiet hours starting around 9pm but on Saturday night there were people running up and down the halls, yelling, etc until almost midnight.

The beds and linens were very comfortable and the thermostat to control the heat was awesome to have. The room was right off the elevator which was great for me since I have an injured foot, and everyone from front desk to housekeeping was unbelievably friendly!

There was a huge hold on my account. they said it would be $100 but it was actually over a $500 hold after I was charged for the room. I was charged about $950 for 3 days so my account was overdrawn until the hold was released 2 days after checking out.

Lamps, etc. should have been plugged in...too much space under door to hallway...noisy. Bathroom needs renovations...water pressure sucks in the shower. Had to ask for additional bath towels...there was only one! We asked for a quiet room and ours was next to a state highway! Noisy! Price was too high for what we got. Printer and keypad were disconnected. Printer never did work.

Beds were comfortable. Room was nicely appointed. Breakfast was decent the first morning and barely anything left on Sunday. Dominique was very helpful.
