This hotel is in a superb location, quiet and literally steps from the beach and an ocean promenade for walking, biking and skating that goes for several miles largely along protected parkland to and from the Hollywood Broadwalk. The hotel has a lovely tropical garden that rooms open out to with seating and large tables under tiki roofs, lots of birds and water. We had breakfast in the garden every morning. Coffee is provided.

The unique garden oasis setting of the DeSoto in the midst of more typical beach structure surroundings, made it really stand out. Very zen-like! The availability of bikes was a huge plus. Our room was spacious and the bathroom was roomy.

I think, the water system needs some update. Cold and hot water system was confusing. But we made it.

Breakfast was not included, but we knew about it earlier and it did not matter. The host was great - helpful, Informative and very pleasant to meet.

The only thing i could say is that a later check out would be nice. 10:30 is a bit early. If it was 11 or 12, it would give the guests a nice couple of hours on the beach.

Beautiful gardens and well equipped kitchen. Great location to beach and Veronica and her staff were so helpful. Our room was spotlessly clean and having access to bikes and an on site laundry was perfect.

When I make the reservation,booking informed to me a place with a surface of 300square feet.The room has got 150 feet approximately.The pics showed not the correct place.

The only thing (and it is not a reason for not coming back) is that our room, letter D, would need a black out curtain in the kitchen door because at night the light from outside enter through the door and the bed is just in front of it.

Everything is awesome! The location is unbeatable. The garden so beautiful, The room was spotless and the bed so comfy. In the kitchen we found everything we need to cook and more. Also you get umbrellas, chairs, coolers and mats for the beach. Definitely it worth the price and we will come back!

With only 3 covered dining areas for guests… I think it would be best if all three areas were available for guests to use. One of the outdoor dining areas was used daily by the manager and staff. Some mornings we wanted have breakfast outside but all three tables were used.

The location is amazing… literally steps from the beach. The gardens and covered seating was beautiful… we grilled 2 of the 4 nights… went to restaurants within walking distance the other evenings. Tiki Tiki and Quarterdeck… both good.

exceptionally clean and well cared for for an older hotel. No additional charges for beach chair/umbrella/bicycle usage is a welcome relief.

I ran out of hot water early before I finished my shower.

Great location, very relaxed and friendly atmosphere, even if it rains you can set in front of your unit under a protective eave, and enjoy the natural foliage that surrounds you.
