Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaI booked a kitchenette room and the refrigerator was very discolored on the outside. This just is not pleasant to look at. Also, the nightstand had a lot of scratchy parts and actual cuts in the wood--another thing that looks sketchy. In the time was there each night an ambulance was coming to one of the rooms. Are people ODing or something in this little hotel? When I first started staying at this place it was freshly remodeled and very charming. Now, the rooms look VERY beat down. I stayed a third night in a different room and noticed the tub looked very strange around the drain area and a lot of damage to furniture in the room. I decided that was going to be my last visit. In addition, the second room I stayed in during this time in San Diego had a very heavy smoke odor which I did not appreciate especially since the rooms are supposed to be non-smoking. Someone needs to develop some technology where the minute that a cigarette is lit in a room an alarm goes off and they can kick the people out!

United States of AmericaNo coffee machine in the room like stated in their advertisement. I was charged for the room a day prior on my credit card. I've never seen that before & most hotels usually charge the day of.
Location for the cost is the hotels big attraction. Can't beat it and they don't charge for parking like most of the other hotels in hotel circle.

United States of AmericaThe room had a doorway to another room boarded and painted over. Although there was a large fridge in the room the whole facing frontage of it was covered in orange rust. Not a food or safety issue but looked like it was dragged in from some ones back yard but oh well. Also there was literally a rot iron "park bench" in the room for a sitting area which was pretty jenky. We just needed a clean space to sleep (which it more or less was) but still amazed that places can charge $250 for this place but what are you gonna do on a holiday weekend (labor Day)?
Easy check in. Fwy close and easy to get around greater SD.

United States of AmericaNo mini fridge, room 132 the tub has water trapped under plastic base. Not healthy. Everything was clean but kind of rickety
Please offer mini fridge. Plus the constant flow of homeless people with no visible Video surveillance made us nervous. I know security systems or people are expensive but even fake cameras are a deterrent!.

United States of AmericaThis place reminds me of more of a motel stay. The bed was hard, pillows were flat, shower pressure was nill, pool wasn’t the cleanest and there were stains on the carpet. We had to be switched rooms because the AC was not working.
The staff was very nice. It’s conveniently located to Fashion Valley Mall & public transit.
