Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe room and facility could have had more amenities. I would have loved a suite or a more spacious room design. Also bottled waters. A more modern bathtub/shower would have increased the luxuriousness. A pool would have been perfect.
The staff was wonderful!

United States of AmericaThe water from the bathtub pipe seemed brown. But other than that, everything else was fine.....really didn't find any fault with the hotel. I wanted late check-out, but understandably, it wasn't available.
In walking distance to restaurant and grocery store. Check-in was super fast and easy. The AC in the room was super cold. Hotel was right off the main road into Oak Bluffs. Great experience overall.

PhilippinesOur room was located at the end of the hall near the exit. We noticed that everytime the door across or the exit opens, our door responds to a suction motion causing it to rattle. Good thing this stopped when we were about to sleep.
Our room with a nautical theme was spacious and clean. Bus stop, 2 resto and grocery are just within the vicinity of the hotel, which was conveneient for us.

United KingdomNo breakfast so have to either buy food in food shop or go into Edgar town. A bit of a walk into town centre 15-20min, not a problem for us but it might be for some.
Clean rooms, nicely decorated. Lovely shower. Friendly staff. Next door to a food shop. Free parking.

FranceNo breakfast available at the hotel, noise coming from within the room of either the a/c compressor or the mini-fridge
While there are no breakfast options in the hotel (no breakfast buffet, nor nearby restaurant that serves breakfast), there is a Stop & Shop grocery store just next door where you can pick up milk, juice and fruit to take back to your room. There is a mini-fridge and a microwave in the room as well as a small 1-cup at a time coffee machine (but it is not a Nespresso machine) that we had to ask about since it wasn't in the room when we arrived . The location was a pleasant 15 minute walk away to downtown Edgartown. We took a morning jog to the beach, so location for us was nice. The rooms are nicely decorated and the beds are comfortable although the noise from some kind of compressor kept waking us up. The man who received us at check in was very nice and helpful.

United States of AmericaThe hotel advertised a bar/restaurant . There is not one on the property. It was next door and it was closed for winter. we came back one night and there was a suspicious person standing next to the side entrance door and it spooked us. We told the front desk and they didn’t seem bothered.

United States of AmericaThe room rates for the property are a little high. It’s a revamped Clarion. Limited in room amenities- poor staff communication and a lack of general lobby or sitting areas.
Location was pretty close to most of Edgartown activities. The grocery store is next door as well as a cute adjacent restaurant.

United States of AmericaCheck-in area is small and sterile, not actually a lobby; overall feel of public spaces is motel-like, with no elevator to the second floor. My room was uncomfortably warm despite mild weather. Staff friendliness was so-so, at the desk and among the cleaning crews. I faced a lot of resistance when I asked to leave bags after checkout; desk staff eventually relented but treated it like a favor when it's a basic service at almost every other lodging on the planet.
Attractively updated room in what I understand is a recently renovated hotel; on the upper floor this included a cathedral ceiling. Comfortable bed, good wifi. Location is several blocks to central Edgartown, but I found it walkable and pleasant. The attached Town restaurant had very good food and service; it was recommended by my Uber driver in from the airport, and struck me as a great amenity.
