Hotel needs a overall facelift...modern upgrade. Need parking for hotel guests

We stayed at the hotel from March 29 to April 04. With a $300 pre-arrival security fee, $1,668 for 6 nights was locked upon our arrival. 1,580 was charged to my debit card when I checked out. According to my bank, April 28 is the date the blocking will be lifted. This put us in a very unpleasant situation, making our otherwise wonderful trip miserable. Apart from that, the hotel is adequate in everything.

It's expensive, like everywhere in NYC. The hairdryer is terrible, like all hotel hair dryers! But I liked this hotel a lot. I would stay again.

Very close to times square and Broadway so a great choice for seeing shows. The breakfast was good and the people working the breakfast were super nice. They had soy milk for my coffee and cereal and even had real oatmeal, and it was so good. The place is clean, comfortable, and up to date. The room is MUCH bigger than most other NYC hotels I've stayed in.

The bathroom sink faucet was scalding hot even on cold and had to be extra cautious with the kids so they didn’t get burned.

The hotel was perfect for us travelling as a couple with three kids. It was a basic hotel but the beds were comfy (the sofa bed was fine for kids - not sure I would have wanted to sleep on it myself), the room was very clean, staff were friendly and helpful, we had a brilliant view of the Empire State Building and the breakfast was great.

The room had a not so new furniture and the bedside table had some stains. But it didn't make my stay any worse.

Great location, with nearby subway station, shops, restaurants and 5th avenue stores. Great place if you wanna walk through midtown, but don't want to stay in the chaos of Times Square. It felt like a safe in the neighborhood too. The breakfast was okay - great option to have a snack before starting the day - and you have free water any time of the day. Bonus points for the amazing Empire State Building rooftop view and for the kinda spacious room, with a sofa and desk. Not a fancy place, but comfortable.

The furniture is outdated and it was a bad smell in the room. Cleaning could be done a bit better

Excellent location. Friendly staff. Decent breakfast and basic gym. The room size was larger than expected for our family of five with a direct view of the Empire State Building. Lovely terrace on the top floor.

Didn’t like that they double charged me for a 1 night stay.

Property was decent didn’t like that I had to wait around for the elevator because they don’t have elevators for the cleaners to use.

Tired interior throughout, badly needs redecorating, sofa bed was long passed it’s best.

It’s very central and clean, breakfast was fine and a real plus verses other comparable hotels, staff were very friendly and helpful. Great view!!

The lifts are very slow in the morning. There's only two fairly small elevators, and being on one of the top floors meant I had to wait a long time. The longest I waited for one (without it already being full) was 15 mins. That is a bit too long, to be honest.

I loved the room & the view from the room. I had specifically booked a 'higher floor' room, and that's exactly what I got! Floor 25 out of 26, which had a great view - and going one floor up had a view the other direction of the Empire State Building from the terrace.

Not a great breakfast for the money. Food poor quality and over busy. Only two lifts which was a bit of a pain having to wait a long time for service. Still await the room deposit of $400 to be returned, taken from credit card on arrival.
