Very large and comfortable room, lots of facilities that I didn't have time to enjoy like pool, loungers, bar etc. Very central for Venice.

Pull-out sofa bed was outdated, not really comfortable, with squeaky sounds Sometimes a strange odour in the room, probably from the carpet - if they would change these, it would be great stay

Design of hotel and affordability

City room view is along a busy street and older windows damped some of the noise but not all. However, we didn’t have too much trouble sleeping even with the traffic noise. Recommend a view facing inside the building if you want a quieter stay. Little further walk from Venice beach if you don’t mind walking 20-30mins.

Loved the updated rooms and amenities. Very relaxing to spend time on the Hammocks or in the pool/jacuzzi.

A little disappointed that the external mural in the picture on booking.com has been painted over. It's no biggy but it makes the hotel seem pretty nondescript from the outside

Checkin staff a bit cold, not helpful. Robotic. Area is a a bit rough, full of camping vagrants, etc, but that's LA today.

Adjacent homeless camps. Though this being LA there is not much the hotel can do about this.

Some staff very nice, some not so customer minded, but still helpful. Shower had close to no pressure, that could probably be fixed.

Great location! Good big room,, sliding doors could make it into 2 rooms which was great. Microwave in lounge area was handy when having to get hot water for formula bottles for our baby.

I'd like to have more control over fresh air in the place. It sometimes smells a little musty or mildewy here.

The rooms are comfortable, and I like that there's a pullout couch, so that when my friend and I stay, we each have our own 'space'.

I didnt like that the price didnt include tax to begin with, with all the costs combined I found it just a little expensive, though LA is pricey so it's not too bad. The carper and couch in the room seemed quite old and dirty, I wouldn't step on the floor without slippers. It would be good to give them a deep clean. The walls seemed quite thin, though I didn't have loud neighbours so it didn't bother my sleep. Other than that it was good!

The room is very spacious and the bed is very very comfortable and I slept very well at this hotel! The staff were lovely and there was fresh coffee downstairs every morning. There's a pool, a gym and dressing gowns, so it was comfortable to stay there! The bathroom was a bit old, but clean and comfortable. The area is ok, Abbott Kinney is street and the beach are close by but still a little walk away. Overall great value for money!

Security. I really didn’t like that it wasn’t possible to deadbolt the door. There was actually a deadbolt, but the mechanism to “lock” it in place wasn’t lined up properly, which made it impossible to lock. For that reason, I didn’t feel comfortable because it seemed so flimsy. Especially since there was a second entrance that wasn’t monitored most of the time.

The location of this property was great. So close to Abbott Kinney and its stores and restaurants. During the day I could walk there and a night was a quick and easy Uber ride if I wanted to go out to dinner. The neighbourhood was also really nice by the water (beach and canals). As usual for LA, lots of random type characters lingering about in Venice beach, but overall a good area to stay. This room was huge! Basically the size of a one-bedroom apartment. It was pretty much a suite and I really liked that there was a separate living room & bedroom area. I travelled solo, but so much space for a family or couple. I also liked the mid-century modern design of the room. It was a nice touch and really fit in well with the vibe of the area. Made it feel kind of boho-chic.
