My preference was for a firmer bed for my back and I only could get one bar on my cell phone service. I don’t think that is the fault of the hotel.

The hotel was a bit older but everything worked well. There were people all over working on maintenance and cleaning everyday. The facility was well maintained. The tv had a huge selection also. Everyone working there was friendly, polite and went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed . It was easy to get around the city from the hotel and close to Old Town. The motel stowed our luggage when we got there early before check in time. They also accommodated us with a ground floor room. The refrigerator was larger than the usual cube sized one and worked great. Didn’t use the large pool but the area was fabulous, with a hot tub and another sitting area that was covered allowing you to be out of the sun if you wanted and still enjoy the weather.

There was no soap at the bathroom sink. There was some body wash in the shower, but there could’ve been a bar of soap at the bathroom sink. Also, I wasn’t real happy about having to pay $15 to park my car next to my room. I’ve never had to do that before. We found out later that you can park free next-door after you unload your car near your room, but that should’ve been told to us at the desk when we signed in. But overall it was good.

I didn't like having to pay $15 a day for parking. Also, I didn't like that the person at the front desk couldn't give me toilet paper, tissue or towels when we ran out in our room. We were going out for the day and I asked for those things. The person at the front desk informed me that we would have to be back by 10:30 PM if we wanted those items. So I had to rush and stress to get back before that time which isn't fun on vacation. I made it back and it was fine but I just wish either the front desk could give out the items or they have someone who can do it at any time. At all other hotels I have stayed at there usually is either someone who can bring these type of items any time or the front desk gives them out. This is just a suggestion. It would really help.

For the type of hotel it is, it was good. It was clean which is important to me. I forgot my flip flops which I usually use as slippers in hotels and my feet didn't get dirty. The floor felt pretty clean. The bed was comfortable to my daughter and me and the sheets seemed clean. The shower was clean. The bathroom was small but it was fine and worked for us. The area to wash your hands is outside of the part with the toilet and shower which is good because it gives a little more room and someone can use the mirror while someone else is taking a shower/using the toilet. I liked that we could open the widow by the bathroom and let some air in. The area by the hotel was decent. It is near a bunch of other hotels. The freeway is right near the hotel but the windows seem pretty good because I didn't really hear the freeway much in the night and was able to sleep. Of course, that was with the windows shut. lol The breakfast place in the hotel is extra money but worth it because it's really good food for the price. They gave a 10% discount for hotel guests.

The room angle, as soon as you walked in you ran into the bathroom sink. The mattress is not comfortable and hard. I would not be able to stay more then 1 day.

The loud people upstairs they sound like they were moving furniture during the night and had heavy feet.

The location was great it took no long then 15 minutes to travel where we were going. Old town was down the street.

Loved the jacuzzi, wish the Mexican restaurant was open Mondays. Could have gone for a margarita . For the price it was an excellent stay.

I wish I didn't have to pay $15 for parking. Other than that, there wasn't anything I disliked.

This is an older style motel that is kept in excellent condition. Checking in and out was friendly and efficient. Parking is convenient. Rooms are large, comforable, impeccably clean with good climate control. The location on San Diego's "Hotel Circle" is reasonably convenient to restaurants and attractions. The property is really well maintained with amazing attention to detail. The on-site restaurant is good for breakfast. This is a very good place to stay in San Diego at a reasonable price.

Comfortable bed; no carpet! That's almost always a plus for me. Convenience of a terrific breakfast restaurant on-site. Parking was plentiful.

Every time our neighbours flushed or used the sink, we were woken up by uncomfortably loud water noises, sometimes waking us up multiple times per night. Generally, it was a bit noisy and even normal conversation was sometimes audible from the neighbours.

Very comfy room, nice people and amazing restaurants directly in-house. Whirlpool had manually activated jets and was never crowded (we were here in the winter) All people we met there were nice and helped out wherever possible.

The neighbor’s noise is so uncomfortable. The people in the next room tried to open the door that connects the rooms many times and at late night hours.

This is a motor hotel design property with ample parking, yet parking cost extra. The room was comfortable but the shower fixtures needed replacing. Also, the trend for hotel televisions is having streaming smart TVs. This room had a cable TV only.

The property was well maintained and clean. The spa and pool must have been recently renovated as they appeared new. Good location and easy access to freeway.
