Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

I didn’t like the fact that our towels and bedsheets weren’t changed in three days!!
It was good except for the breakfast was too poor! Not much to choose from

I hated that the breakfast dishes were styrofoam, one of the worst ecological choices. Other hotels we stayed at used sturdy paper. Styrofoam is unconscionable to use! You are contributing to ecological destruction. I won’t repeat my stay.

Room door dud not lock well when leaving. Need to pull door handle hard outwards and listen for the deadbolt to move. Room had a bit too much cleaner smell. Not bad just excessive.
Location is great. Considering close to El train was not noisy. Breakfast was better than expected. Bed was very comfortable.

Breakfast could offer more variety of food. For instance, I could have used some jam or marmalade with my toast. If you don't want eggs and sausages or waffles, options are limited. Coffee was good, though.
The room was excellent - clean, large, and quiet. The location is perfect. The fitness room is well equipped and clean.

Shower handle was brocken and the air conditioner in the bath couldnt be stopped during night.no water Boiler and tea available.
I really likes the breakfast.you got waffles, Cornflakes and a changing warm meal every Day.futhermore, the hotel offers an baggage room where you can left your luggage after check out for a while to pick it upp later on. The service tried its best to help me with some invoicing issues and other stuff. Perfect central located hotel in Downtown.

The breakfast was terrible for 6 days i only ate at only two days due to reasons it being packed with people,food was missing and fruits when i asked for them she said there is no more.The food quality wasnt good.Only waffles beans,cereals and sausages no ham or chesse.

What we didn’t like so much was the breakfast. Firstly it didn’t have many options and you needed a “breakfast ticket” to get served the good stuff and even then you got very small proportions. Also the breakfast room was really small, at all times crowded and the food was rarely refilled after it was over.
The room and the beds where pretty nice and comfortable. Everything was very clean.

No issues to comment on. All was good.
The room was large, with all facilities needed provided. The bed was comfortable and the room quiet and clean. Coffee making facilities appreciated. The breakfast available was substantial and popular. Location was important, being within walking distance of Union Station and within the Chicago downtown area. The hotel served my needs very well.

The breakfast finishes a bit early at 9 AM.
Great location right in the city center, very convenient to get around for sightseeing. The complimentary breakfast is a plus. The room is clean and comfortable.
