How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

I didn't see where the dog restrictions were mentioned or listed. Plus I never saw the additional fomee of $25.
I saw all of the security cameras when I checked in. This gave me a good feeling. I was traveling alone.

Older building which could use a few updates (tub plug was hard to release and we couldnt drain tub) but overall very clean and comfortable.
**Pet Friendly** Staff was SO hospitable! First room had odor issues, but they graciously switched our room and we were very comfortable!

The pet fee is something I always struggle with because my dog is exceptionally well-behaved and trained, sleeps on the floor, and does not chew or do anything weird. Hotels charge per day for a pet, adding too much to the daily rate. I would rather have a lump sum fee (but honest and fair!) that does not increase the overall amount too much
Clean, comfortable, new, excellent facilities. The breakfast was very well supplied, and everything was delicious. The staff was extremely friendly, accommodating our needs. The hotel is in a great location and very easy to find.

Stayed there because of approaching storm. It would be nice if in that type of situation you would offer a discount on the room. Those situations are unexpected and done for safety not pleasure.
Breakfast was very good. Staff who prepared it was very polite.

Located near a very busy intersection. Heard every Jake brake coming into town and every semi/ motorcycle/ loud vehicle leaving the intersection.
Convenient location. Friendly staff. Lots of local places to eat. Hotel breakfast was good. Friendly cook!!

VERY noisy. All the doors slam hard if you don't "help" them slowly shut. We were kept awake a lot from the doors slamming. Also, the only furniture aside from the beds and nightstand was one very uncomfortable rolling office chair and a very tiny low back corner chair in one corner that was essentially useless. It would have been nice to have had a couple of comfortable chairs and a small round table to sit at. The gentleman at the front desk was not unkind, but he was certainly not hospitable.
Fair pricing. Painless check-in/check-out. Despite local construction, easy to get to and from. Restaurants nearby.

Bathroom needs re-caulking.
Location is great. Good Breakfast was provided, but there is also a Waffle house, in the same parking lot, and Cracker Barrel is in the same block as well. Plenty of other stores, Publix, etc... Dothan is small, it was no more than 9 minutes to get to the center of Dothan. Room was clean, bed was comfortable.

Several large dogs barked all night long. There was alot of construction which made it difficult to navigate around.
Property was very nice and clean. Great location. Breakfast was good as well.

Online, under FAQ, it said there was no additional charge for pets. When we arrived and checked in I was charged an extra $54 for our dog. I chose this hotel bc there was no charge for pets.

Water was being shut off at 9:00 a.m. They were good about letting us know, but since check out isn't until later, it was very inconvenient to have to get up and make sure showers, etc were done by 9:00. Couldn't it have been done after checkout time?
