The road was noisy, even where we were on the other side of the building. Maybe planting more shrubs/trees between the existing plants and the end of the building would be worth considering to reduce the noise.

The location with stunning views across the lake was superb. The facilities were good.

Our first time to visit Lake Placid. We really enjoyed our stay at Lake Grassy Inn. The owner was very nice and very helpful. The view from the patio area was incredible. Very relaxing and peaceful.

Floors could use a good steam clean. No dishwasher detergent. We did dishes by hand which is OK. It had a 2 burner top,which we didn't use, but certainly would have come in handy for other times. Bathroom was clean and the tub/shower was nice. I would stay again just for the peace and quiet.

The lake scenery was absolutely great.it was quite and peaceful!

well it was not in any information I read of the place mentioning about not cleaning the rooms and change of towels until you check out, we stay two days and have to use the same used towels both days, as I check out I mention to the front desk that my room was not clean the day before and they reply that they only clean them till when gest check out, so I ask if I stay a week the room will not get clean and towels not change for a week, and he reply " you can ask for new towels . The other issue I see is that it was a bit pricy, to me for having a lake on the back and after my experience with the cleaning and not clean towels for two days, the price didn't Mach the service.

Room was clean when we arrived parking was excellent and the view on the back to the lake was very pleasant and relaxing. Had a good kitchen and utensils.

Literally right on a lake...out the back door. You have your own little patio. No it's not the Ritz but for the money a nice, safe, little motel next to a lake to chill out.

Patio was a little buggy but luckily we brought our bug spray. No problem after that. Could have used coffee for each day we stayed - only had one for a two night stay.

We loved being right on the lake - took in sunrises and enjoyed wildlife that stopped by :) Enjoyed being able to have breakfast with lakeview. (P.S. the Shower was Amazing!!! )

No supplies provided for kitchen, such as dish soap & paper towels. No security lock or peephole on door. AC unit gave off very musty smell.

The lake view was beautiful and peaceful. We loved the outdoor seating area with chairs and picnic tables, great place for morning coffee, or drinks with our friends, who stayed next door to us. close to town and lakes. staff was very friendly and accommodating. Being pet friendly was a huge plus as well! We would definitely come back here and would recommend it to anyone.

Pillows

This is not a luxury hotel, but if you are looking for a place that's clean and in a convenient location this is it. Lake Placid itself is really just a fishing town. But it had everything you need. The Inn is right on the lake. It had small fridge, dishwasher, sink, 2 burner stove top, king bed dining table, and patio with picnic table and two other chairs. Every room has a great view. The inn is older, but remodeled nicely. My only complaint was the pillows. They are large since its for a king bed so the stuffing would push to the ends when laying on them. Overall I was very happy with the room.

A few issues. The bed and pillows are not very comfortable and need updating. Too much furniture jammed into the room. Thin it out. Paint and/or patio furniture.

Fell in love with the view. The room was nice but the rear patio was fantastic. Beautiful sunrise. A quiet and romantic getaway for a night. There are some issues as noted in the dislikes.

the only negative would be that there arent' many dishes (plates, spoons, forks etc) other than that it was great

wonderful value with a great view of the lake. The grounds were very clean, We saw an alligator in the water, so many birds, lovely moonrise and sunrise. Also a nice spot for my little dog. I will likely stay again.
