Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomWe were in a room that backed onto the lift which was used into the night, so we didn't get a great sleep as a result. I can't recall the room number, but if it backs onto lift, I would advise trying to change the room.
Good location, and decent value for money for the quality of the room.

United States of AmericaGreat for the price but rooms quite small and hallway carpet needs replacing. No morning coffee at hotel or in room but did have at sister property. More like staying in someone’s house than a hotel but it was fine. No real services.
Excellent location with easy parking. Friendly staff. Pretty lobby area.

United States of AmericaNo coffee machine in the room! "Complementary coffee" was in a nearby hotel. Crazy to not even have it in the Maison's lobby, but should be in the room. The hotel is not conducive to business - small desk, not enough power outlets (lucky I brought my own extension cord), chair was uncomfortable and one leg was uneven, poor lighting for work. Bed was ok but too soft for me, blinds in bathroom and room didn't work well and drapes in room weren't fully attached, not attractive. I never got a written bill from the hotel, nor did I get a written bill for the separate daily parking charge. Unprofessional and certainly not helpful for the business traveler.
Convenient drive to the Beverly Hills courthouse. Nice to have Starbucks walking distance. Great bathtub, hot water. I liked being able to open the window for fresh air, although there was a loud truck loading equipment across the street every morning

United KingdomThe air con units in the room were really noisy, there was a good bar but no food available but it is very central . Note that parking is a extra $40.00 per night if you need it.
A small boutique hotel for great value for this part of Beverley Hills, ideal for a stop off and great location.

United States of AmericaAt checkin being told I had to pay a $35 "resort fee" and have a $100 hold fee put on my card for "amenities." This is not a resort, there is no pool, the bar wasn't open, there is no room service, and there were no amenities. Upon checkout the resort fee had been removed along with the hold, but to go to my room thinking I had been "had" and would have to later challenge the fee later was a downer.

Australiawi fi didn't work much..... no tea bags (english breakfast or ordinary black tea bags)
The hotel is cute but the bathroom is very small. The wi fi didn't work and this was super annoying as I couldn't perform my normal business duties. The staff agreed to an extra hour for check out which was appreciated and they very kindly gave us a jug for the room to boil water, but they let the team down because they didn't have any ordinary tea bags (black tea) and made no effort to get any. Not everyone likes coffee and herbal teas!! The bathroom products were lovely quality.

United States of AmericaOur hotel room was dated and in need of some care and repair; e.g., the carpet and the curtains.
The location of Maison 140 was excellent for our activities. The downstairs lobby was a convenient gathering place for friends and family. The staff were friendly and helpful.

AustraliaThe booking included a pick up from LAX. It took nearly 3 hours to get thru customs and the transport could not wait for us. The system needs to be improved so that the transport is arranged in conjunction with customs delays. We had to pay $US50 for a taxi which was disappointing.

AustraliaThe air con was a very old unit and very noisy. I had to turn it off at night because it would stop and start up again repeatedly. The rooms are fine but could do with a refurbish - bit tired although the bathroom was nice.
I was a solo traveler and felt very safe being there by myself which is a huge plus. It is right next to much more expensive hotels and the neighborhood felt very safe. The hotel is very cute from the street and the bar/lounge area is cute and cosy. It was very reasonably priced for this area so if you are on a budget it is a fine option.
