Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Front lobby had a funny odor..like a smell of gas. The pictures are deceiving on the website. Tub stopper didn't work. The dining room hours should be posted.

The bathroom could use some re-caulking. The heat/AC was hard to adjust so the temperature was never exactly comfortable and it got humid in our room. The elevators were jerky and made a lot of noise which made us a little nervous.
This was my second stay at Maison Dupuy. The location is perfect; easy to walk to anything in the French Quarter but on a quiet street. It's an older hotel with character which I love. The courtyard/pool area is really nice. I would absolutely stay here again.

While downstairs lobby was beautiful, once you got in the elevator it all went bad. Elevators need to be serviced and fixed. Hallway carpets and walls need a good scrubbing/replacing/painting. Actual room was decent tho could also use a fresh coat of paint

Room wasn’t like how it was shown in the pictures when I booked. Beds were very hard and uncomfortable.
The breakfast at the restaurant was good. Location was close to bourbon st so it made getting around super easy

Building condition is a little dated, and rooms are a little rough around the edges. My first room had a leaky ceiling when it started to rain outside, but the front desk was accommodating in switching me to a different room. The safe is tiny, and cannot fit anything larger than a paperback book.
Convenient location with easy access to the french quarter. Swimming pool available for use, and rooms have central heat/air, along with a small fridge.

the wifi didnt work so we couldnt watch tv. also, the small frig didnt work well at all .. didnt keep food cold. had to get ice to get a cold drink. we got up early so were in early and couldnt watch tv. wifi didnt work in the courtyard either. asked staff about wifi but the only response was that they were trying something new ... didnt offer anything to substitute for the issue

The rooms are a bit dated and the air conditioning/heater was a old system. The ventilation system was very noisy and they couldn't fix it. They changed our room and the new room was better, although there was still a slight sound coming from the ventilation system.

We came for my daughter's birthday. Perfect location, staff was great and had lots of information. The room was a little warm at times, even in the winter. But the gave us a complimentary room upgrade with a balcony and courtyard view and that was amazing!

Only 1-2 exceptions of staff who were not interested in engaging even simple queries. Not sure the heating worked.
Staff were (in the main) very friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and of a good size (albeit a bit tired).

The room is old and outdated. The tub and sink didn’t drain properly and the heat didn’t work

Some parts of the facility need updating - elevators are barely holding on, carpet is the room (418) is very old, and the room above had some sort of leak causing condensation in the shower and the carpet to be damp in the room.
