Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaRenovation is underway, so many facilities and services are significantly limited. The bar is a small corner of the breakfast area, which is also the lunch area and the dinner area. I would have expected a heated floor in our large bathroom.
Nicely located, very clean; friendly and helpful staff; beautiful facilities. Afternoon tea served in our room was delicious.

United States of AmericaThe price, though we expected that as to location. The prices for the resturant were expensive, though the food was good. Also parking was pricey. Would have appreciated a keurig in the room or coffee for guests in the lobby area.
The staff was excellent. Very helpful as to places to go, places to eat. The doorman ,valets, porters all great. The room was great all around and cery clean. Great location as to why we picked to stay.

United States of AmericaA bit far for Metro and Mall if leave through main entrance on less traveled streets. Room service meals are expensive, typical but still annoying since bar kitchen closes early.
Overall nice facilities and friendly staff. Location is great with easy access to the Tidal Pond, Wharf, and Mall.

United States of AmericaThe indoor swimming pool was cold which was very disappointing since the indoor pool was the main feature that led me to select this hotel over others.

United States of AmericaNo in room coffee maker, no mini bar, very limited on site restaurant facilities. Its a big hotel with one very small restaurant and the line at breakfast made for a wait of 30 minutes or more. We got in the second night and the food was a very basic buffet but highly priced. Not much around in the immediate vicinity except a Starbucks. A rather unpleasant walk is required to get to the tidal basin or the wharf
Great view out of a beautiful round window. Super comfortable bed and pillows, great bathroom, nice pool, super friendly staff, good people watching.

United States of AmericaIf we’d known that a breakfast buffet would be $40 a person, we would have gone to Starbucks across the street or Potbelly down the street. We had tickets to a museum early and thought it’d be a good idea to just have breakfast there. When we arrived there were no a la carte options so they have you hostage and the price of the buffet is not posted anywhere. While the buffer was very nice, it certain,y was not one that warranted that kind of price. That was a rip off
The location, the size of our room, the comfortable bed were all terrific.

United States of AmericaThe transition from the previous ownership was still going on, so there was no dining room. Food was available in the lounge, but we found the service there to be very slow and much less attentive than one would expect in a luxury hotel. There are limited restaurant options within walking distance.
This hotel is a very short taxi ride from Reagan National Airport. There is a 24-hour doorman, and he and his staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We had a one-bedroom suite that was quite large and very comfortable.

United States of AmericaNext trip to DC I would choose to stay on the other side of the National Mall, closer to the White House. Even though it was close to the Mall, the area does not have an restaurants or shops between the hotel and the Mall. It is primarily government buildings and maybe residential or office. To get to the wharf, you had to walk to a pedestrian bridge crossing the highway, and walk a bit before getting to the wharf. It is not too far but in the heat. it felt too far away!
Great hotel. Kids liked to use the pool. Not far from National Mall and the Wharf, Starbucks across the street,

United States of AmericaThe restaurant and wait staff were horrible. Every time we went there it was a half hour before anyone even saw us. The food always came out at least another half hour after you ordered and it was wrong half the time. When factoring in the quality and service it’s not worth the wait and price.
Perfect location, great amenities, perfect for families or people who want privacy and not to have to worry about anything. I don’t think there is anything you could ask for that they wouldn’t help you get. The valet and doormen were the best. Never had to wait for my car or had any issues. They remember you and go out of their way to say hello and ask if you need anything.
