I have a peeve with squeaky bed frames. Ours had some brass fittings that were loose and rattled with most movement. The AC unit didn't seem to hold true to the set temperature, so we woke up sweating or cold many times. This could have definitely been user error.

The electric car charger was an unexpected luxury that really saved us. The room was clean, and the manager was very nice.

The refrigerator did not work. It never was cold enough. So I stored 'cold' food in my car since the temps were good for that. The air conditioner was noisy going on and off all night long interrupting my sleep. Once the temperature was about right, I switched the setting to fan so that the unit would stay on and not turn off and on during the night.

Decor was A++. I loved the wood furniture and the sofa for reading.

No staff around, took longer to check in with the 'zoom' attendant. The attendant was not familiar with the area and when asked a question was googling for the answer. I indicated I would google. Only 1 coffee (all others were decaf), lightbulb out by bed (so had to read with my phone light). Ac/Heat unit kept coming on and off all night - loud. Bed was too high for my spouse.

Did not like the automated check in. Really like having a live at desk on property. Did not like the tub/shower, it got slick when wet and soapy.

Bed was comfortable and room was clean. Good location for food and attractions. Would stay there again when in the area.

Toilet Was malfunctional. Was able to get it to work when needed but Didn't flush on its own. Refrigerator worked but could use replacing. Was little rough on the edges but nothing major. Cleaning lady very nice but overworked and alone. No linens for the pullout couch.

Bed was comfortable. Kitchen was good with the dining area and extra T.V. Shower was very nice. Lots of storage and closet space and cabinet space. A.C. in each room kept it nice and cool. Cleaning lady was very nice and accommodating with requests.

Check in was a bit unusual, slightly complicated and cold. The only complaint was that the towels smelled stale. I literally rewashed my face after using one of the towels to dry with. It smelled like it either needs some bleach or was left sitting wet in the washer too long.

My check-in was listed as 3:00 but hotel said 4:00. After pushing the issue they did let us check-in earlier. Only gave towels etc for 2 people but we reserved for 3 people.

Very convenient to restaurants and stores. Not on the beach but a reasonable drive to get there.

The video checkin was odd. Not sure what would have happened if we did need anything but we didn’t do it was fine.

No staff-video checkin. Older hotel, flea market furnishings so eclectic. It was clean and functional. Bed wasn’t great but not bad. Exactly what we expected for the price and provided what we were liking for. A clean place to sleep.

The stale musty odor permeated the rooms, got in all our clothes. Had to buy room deodorizer to help with odor and run air conditioners lower than normal to help desolate the musty moldy smell. I manage by taking allergy medication. Bed spread etc caused odor to remain in our clothes. Putting weather stripping at bottom of doors removing old carpet and improving ventilation would make a vast improvement. Left one day early

No staff to interact with. There's just you and this kiosk where someone in another country deals with check in. Very impersonal but still everything worked out quickly and efficiently not more not less than if a person had been present. However no issues came up either.

A $1 “incidentals fee” that must be charged to credit card AFTER the stay was paid for on booking.com. The zoom meeting to check in and check out that was LONG and LABORIOUS especially since entire stay was already paid for. “Customer service agent” didn’t have a good working knowledge of English and her family was loud and boisterous as the LONG zoom meeting continued. No mention of $1 incidental fee stated on booking.com.

Mechanical Buzzing in the wall continually. There was black mold on bathroom ceiling. No exhaust fan in bathroom. No staff to speak to.

There was no way to talk to anyone on-site. The check in and out are virtual. Touch a screen and a person appears, check out the same thing.

There was NO person to check you in at office. You had to work with a kiosk for check-in, something to get used to. The A/C was a little difficult to get used to but it worked out okay.

Was on the Main Street of Manteo and convenient to the city and also Nags Head and Hwy 12 south.
