While we were "upgraded" to a corner room, the view was less than desirable even though I paid for a a city view. Our room was by the roof with a railing and two cranes. There was no shelf in the shower to put shampoo, conditioner, shaving cream, etc.

The valet was a little hard to find via google maps. Also the Uber driver picked us up way around the other side of the block for some reason. I'm not sure if the hotel has a designated area for Uber typically.

We've stayed here many times. It is a classic. They've remodeled and updated which gives it a fresher feel now. It's just really comfortable and well appointed. Staff is super friendly and helpful. It's easy to get to any place in SF from this location via Uber.

No Room Service. I mean, seriously? A 4-star hotel without Room Service? The prices for amenities are astronomical (which we expect in San Francisco), but the quality didn’t match up. $40 per person for an unimpressive breakfast buffet. Bartenders who can’t make a simple Cosmopolitan. Also - there was supposed to be a tablet in our room we could use to order food (which we would’ve had to pick up in the lobby), but there was no such tablet. It’s also a bit confusing to learn your way around. Different banks of elevators take you to different floors. So finding our way to the top-floor lounge was a matter of trial and error. It would’ve been perfectly easy if there were directions saying “take the pink elevators”. The water pressure on our shower was pitiful, too.

The room was clean and well-appointed. The location was perfect for our planned weekend. The “market” on the ground floor is open late and has slightly more reasonable prices than the other 2 options. All of the staff we interacted with were friendly and service-minded. We also liked being able to log-in to our own Netflix account rather than having to pay for movies.

Wait time at check in was excessive. $25 charge above the advertised room rate was not expected, nor well presented by staff. Check in staff member was utterly miserable. Charging $20 for wifi. Come on… The food at the cafe was mediocre and overpriced.

We waited in line for half an hour to park at the hotel and then we were told valet was booked and that we could only have paid for self parking if we added it to the reservation ahead of time.

The room was a cozy place to have a soup kitchen with friends! We also really liked the Special Henny at the bar and that you could take it back with you to your soup kitchen.

Food choices in the lounge was less than expected and will have to pay for alcoholic drinks. Overall acceptable but could be better

I requested 3 rooms on the same high floor. I called several days before our stay and was told the rooms were scattered on several floors. At check in we were all on the 15th floor of a 39 floor building. Not a high floor. We were not informed about benefits of our Elite Marriott status so we missed out on breakfast being included.

The hotel was lovely and well situated for our site seeing. The staff we dealt with was very nice, although we were not initially assigned the rooms we asked for, nor we were told about the amenities we were entitled to.
