How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Saw a mouse in my room No ice machine on 5th Floor or 1st Floor. I asked at desk and was told there was one on 6th Floor! Why not one on EVERY Floor?

Renovations were definitely underway. One of the elevators had some sort of liquid on the floor and made uncomfortable noises while descending.
The room was clean and comfortable. Both members of the staff that I interacted with were very friendly and helpful.

The air conditioner at the room was so noisy. I had to turn it off during night. There was not towel and extra sheets for the coutch and I had to ask for them. Breakfast area is under construction and you have to take your items with a bag
The location was great. Bus stop is meters away and there is a free car park. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Staff are helpfull

Lobby being renovated, had to go to top floor just for ice. Breakfast is still grab and go and not good

Breakfast is quite limited. Also they were renovating the breakfast area and you could only take it away. But, all things considered, I don't think this is worth complaining. What I think is worth complaining is that the walls aren't thick enough to give you enough privacy? A couple next to us was having the time of their lives at around 6AM and it was extremely awkward. I was travelling with my family and we all had to pretend that nothing was happening.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is extraordinarily convenient for trips to NYC. The bus is right around the corner and sometimes takes less than 25 minutes to get to the heart of the city. The bed was super comfortable and the sheets were very clean. Walmart is also very close, which is also very convenient. There is a plaza as well, with Marshall's, TJ Maxx, Burlington, etc. All in all, GREAT value for money.

Breakfast needs to improve
There was renovation going on in the Hotel, I am sure after they are complete the hotel will be much better. Breakfast needs to improve, Elevators need to be upgraded

Door was poorly sound proofed, so one could easily hear everything going on in the hallway. Very limited seating area for breakfast, resulting in many guests having to take their breakfast to their rooms or eat while standing around in the lobby area. Hotel is under construction, so certain limitations can occur (water wasn't running until 5pm on day of arrival).

Because of the renovations that are currently under way in the hotel, the overall cleanliness in some of the public areas is not 100%. When we requested that the room be made up, the bed was not made up properly, it was just pulled straight. The floor of the room was not mopped. The shower was not cleaned.
Coming from a foreign country, we were a little worried that there might be issues with exchange rate and the checking in procedure, but everything was perfect and there were no issues. The reception staff were incredibly helpful with any questions we had.
