Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty

- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The bar. I didn't expect there to be a bar, but since there was i stopped by and the end of the day on Saturday. It was very poorly stocked and it seemed like nobody could get the drink they ordered--you had to work with the bartender to make do with what little he had.
I liked the design of the room, especially the combination of the closet area and bathroom behind a sliding door.

Check-in could have been handled better, I stood waiting for hotel employees to finish their chat before I was acknowledged. It lasted for several minutes. Our non smoking room smelled as if the previous guest was a heavy smoker IN the room. My partner who is a smoker (but DID NOT in the room) commented on how much the room smelled of smoke. The bed also left something to be desired as far as comfort.
Location was excellent, we Ubered from the hotel to DPAC for our event. The rates were good

It was old and dingy feeling. Also someone was smoking weed on our floor. Girl at checkin was weird. She barely spoke even though I was trying to ask questions

The pool was not open. The place was empty. There were people smoking pot in the parking lot. (Most likely not guests.)

Staff was rude. I was charged in full from Booking and then they said they would charge me the resort fee and it was my problem to get a refund from Booking. Also, they woke me early morning to say I had to vacate the room since I had checked out when I haven't and was insisting, I had and almost yelling at me. The cleaning person was knocking on the door insistently.
Location was good for my plans, hotel is nice.

Remote control didn't have a back plate on it. Bathroom, mainly the tub/shower could use an update or possibly make bathroom area a little bigger.

The bed was awful the room was not stocked with soap or coffee. There were people walking the halls at all hours just looking at other people and their stuff.

It was almost creepy quiet. But it was a random weekend. There were a few loud guests but they quieted down before bed time.
It was a beautiful hotel. It's old but kept up. The room was very nice and clean.

The staff needs to be more friendlier, and waiting to have a simple question answered is rude when other staff members weren't occupied. Hot breakfast should be served, pictures online show they had hot breakfast, and an onsite restaurant was advertised, but that wasn't the case. It's a selling point, but lies, I was not impressed. The bar should be opened at set times, not when the person feels like coming in. No toiletries were provided..they also ran out basic necessities like food products AKA snacks and water etc. The bathroom door was off track and made it ridiculous to close. Should just be replaced with a real door or a barn door, that would help.
I liked the location, the hotel was very clean.

The cost of breakfast for a continental breakfast was absurd. The carpeting needs to be repaired or replaced. The toilets were so small I could not get back up. They need to be fixed for the handicap.

Can't think of a thing negative.........sorry. We needed a quiet and comfortable place to rest before going to Duke Cancer Center and your place gave this to us. We are most appreciative that you provided this.
Our room was wonderful; we showered, lounged and had a good night's sleep......we needed this, as I am a patient at Duke. We were well rested and ready to face the day.
