Needs some updating. Beds weren't very comfortable but room was spacious and clean

The little pub upstairs was perfect for what we needed. Staff was friendly, food was decent and not overpriced

Description said there was shuttle to mountain but really just mnt service. Then given wrong information about when it ran so lost out on skiing time. Staff rude to me when they were at fault for not providing correct schedule

    Outdoor pool was nice

Room had no mountain view as stated in my confirmation and the manager was very rude. Very disappointing. Would not go there again or recommend to anyone.

Everything on the property was clean and neat. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The sauna and the pool were great! Great value for price. Won't hesitate to stay here again.

Minimal food options. Breakfast was had across the road in Butternut Lodge. Not a lot of options for supper. The Foundry next door provided all we needed. Most staff had no idea about local transport or even how or when to book shuttles. The lodge doesn't have access to a shuttle, so getting to the nearby Killington ski field is difficult unless booked days ahead. We arrived very late on the evening before, so transport bookings were impossible. Being a country town area made it harder still. Almost missed the Snowmobiling and skiing on 2 days. Room phone didn't work well enough. Very lucky to get a hitch-hiked lift and a last minute taxi when we needed them. We had no car. This seems to be a very general Rutland/Killington problem. The transport IS there, but very unorganised. It could all work much more efficiently if the companies would just talk to each other and let the Lodges know. Example - Train -> Bus: "The Bus" doesn't even stop at the station when the train gets in. It's 2 or 3 blocks away and nobody at the railway station knows where the bus transit station is. We do now. There's not that many trains each day. Access to a lodge shuttle would have been handy. Some definitive options for transport would help immensely.

Great bar service. Staff very friendly. Reception - Vince: A1! Couldn't ask for better service from him. Very knowledgeable. Comfortable and clean. Laundry available.
