Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaIt’s very very very small. We were 5,2 adults and 3 kids under 12. The kids shared a futon the entire time for sitting with much squabbling about elbow space; the adults had to sit on hard kitchen chairs. The coffee table had to be removed to the kitchen at night to open the futon and allow room for kids to move around it for bathroom visits. In the tiny bedroom; the top bunk was so close to the ceiling the 10 yr old hit her head on the glass light fixture climbing the ladder, and smacked her head again on the ceiling trying to pull back her covers to get in. But the ladder was too small and steep for the 6 yr old twins. Only one bunk was usable, the other 2 had to share the futon( which had no bedding provided so we were hauling the top bunk bedding back &forth thru the 3 day stay). Moving thru house required LA traffic type patience and consideration to allow anyone to traverse from front sitting area to bedroom or bathroom. A small sectional couch for the front area (no coffee table is needed)and another full bed in the second bedroom would probably provide as much sleeping area with more usefulness and comfort.
Amazing view, well located close to historic Newport, attractions nd of course, beach. When I say amazing view,it was darn near a wrap around glass wall view, and the windows have deep old time sills perfect for beverages, feet or small children to sit. The pool sized jacuzzi and 10’ fire pits were magical at night, with the ocean right there by your elbow. The bed was so comfortable and fluffy, the kitchen well stocked with cooking supplies utensils and crockery and the whole cottage had a real 1950’s vibe. Cottagecore aficionados will adore View House. Lots of tasteful artwork &knickknacks, and provided reading material for the history and sights of the Oregon coast.

United States of AmericaVery hard to heat with the wall heaters. Would be better with a central system. Beds a little firm for us. Stairs a little steep for seniors, but manageable.
Good, in the winter months, but I'd bet it's awesome in the summer, with the Deck and upstairs bedroom. I asked for a recliner, for sleeping purposes. Was told one was not available. However, when we arrived, there was one in the living room. Thank you!

United States of AmericaThe main complaint is the bed in the bedroom was horribly uncomfortable. I slept in the living area on the sofa bed because it was a better, although not that great either. So I paid for a 1 bedroom 2 bath place but didn't use the bedroom or the 2nd bathroom.
The view was wonderful, it was quiet and private. The location was great being so close to shops/restaurants in Nye Beach. It was older but fairly clean.

United States of AmericaThe wifi didn't seem to work well. The dishes in the kitchen were not cleaned well after the previous tenants.
3rd floor beach views! We had a lovely stay for two nights. The view is amazing. The bed was comfy as was the pull-out sofa. The kitchen was acceptable. TVs in the living room and bedroom. The front desk staff were very nice. There are a few tweaks that would be helpful (wifi in our room didn't seem to work well; broken blinds, torn bed skirt) but honestly nothing major. The location is terrific not only in terms of the beach (private stairs to the beach below) but also because the little shops/restaurants are within a block. We would stay here again.

United States of AmericaToo many small issues with the condo. One or two could be overlooked several added up. All doors were difficult to close. Practically have to slam the front door. The fixtures (faucets) are old and difficult to use. There was one bath towel between two bathrooms. Light in hall between bedroom and bathroom flickers. An alarm/ smoke alarm came on (beeped twice) early on the final morning. Floor looks nice but is cheap and squeaks everywhere you step. Furniture was not exactly comfortable. Cabinets/ hinges on doors cause the cabinet doors to slam when released. The coffee table wobbled badly due to loose fasteners (I tightened them with my fingers). Most of these items I listed would not take much to improve. I feel we paid a premium fee to stay for two nights. Sometimes it's the little things.
Condo overall was OK. Views were the star of the stay.

United States of AmericaWould have liked directions on where to check in and the property condos and cottages on could use some work. Floors and stairs were seemingly about to collapse but inside the condo was nice. Town closes early so be sure to find something to eat and drink well before you think you would.
Loved the location and the view of the beach. Inside was very clean. Staff was amazing. Provided food options and additional amenities at the inn next door like their fire pits and hot tub for an extra price.

United States of AmericaThe parking in the main building was horrible and hard to maneuver cars around, we struggled until we got to park by our cottage and we witnessed many others struggling as well. Also I don’t think it is right to make your guests who pay good money to stay there have to pay extra for amenities. To use the beach access door they wanted us to pay an extra $15 dollars a day .?!? We kindly declined and walked an extra couple blocks.
The location was beautiful and had wonderful views. The staff was polite and helpful.

United States of AmericaThey did not have cooking utensils. Only one 6 inch pan that was in rough shape, and two pots. The key to the third floor laundry was missing so we had to lug laundry down to the first floor. Clothes were left in a drawer from a previous renter.
The view was amazing. The condo was bright and clean. The location was really good and convenient. We were able to watch whales from the deck.

United States of AmericaThe parking area we were instructed to go to did not have a working gate and so while there was plenty of parking the gate wouldn't work for me. I asked the desk several times what to do and the first two I was told to try again. Just pull up really close and the gate should lift. Didn't work and I wasted a lot of time trying to figure out. The eventual resolution was "sorry just park wherever you can on the street" which was fine at first but when I left to pick something up from the store and came back there were zero parking spots anywhere close.
The location was unbeatable as far as distance from the beach goes.
