Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe room was antiquated and definitely needs a rehab and freshen up. The reefer was so noisy we had to unplug it to get any sleep. The drapes did not close properly for privacy becuase they were broken. Very small room for the price. No continental breakfast offered, not even bread or baked goods.
The location was right by the beach. Excellent views. The staff was friendly as well and the valet parking was easy to use.

United KingdomShame no breakfast included - but not really a negative just something which would have made it perfect!
Gorgeous room, bed amazingly comfortable. Right on the sea front by the boardwalk Love the little shop and the free hot chocolate before bed, and the guitarist who plays on a Saturday and Friday in the front desk lobby, makes it feel homely.

United States of AmericaThere was no microwave in our room, and our tv wouldn’t connect to WI-FI so we were kind of stuck watching whatever was on cable. Also the bed was not comfortable at all and I’m pretty good at sleeping on uncomfy beds, this one just wasn’t it to be honest.
The location was amazing, I really enjoyed the overall vibe of the rooms. It might be outdated to some but I found it quite charming. Everything was very clean and the staff was impeccable, would definitely book again

United States of AmericaThe hotel rooms have very thin walls so we could hear people talking in the adjacent rooms. There was also street noise because the hotel is on a pretty busy street. Valet parking is hectic and expensive and some of the street parking is actually more convenient. I paid for an ocean view room, but it was just a view out the window with no balcony or patio to sit and enjoy the view. Bathroom needs an update.
Really like the location. We were able to walk to the main street of Santa Barbara to shops, restaurants, cafe's and thrift stores. It's also right across the street from the beach and pier.

United States of America1.) The floor was disgusting - filthy. 2.) We were shocked at the price of valet parking. The cost of parking - plus the tip to get the car every time you need it. Very inconvenient and the costs really adds up! 2.) It was sad that parents of 3 little girls allowed them to run around the complex screaming at 8am. Thats a bit early for others who are on vacation to relax. It went on for almost an hour - even when I went outside and asked that they stop - the kids kept running up and down the stairs all around upstairs screaming. Lots of fun for them - not for the guests. This is not a knock on the hotel - by the time they got to the parents, they were getting ready to depart for breakfast. It would be great if families with kids were in buildings separate from adult only guests. Hotel Milo is huge - they could easily do this and meet all guests needs!
We had a 2nd floor with ocean view - it was lovely! It was great that our pup was welcomed. The location was great - with lots of very good restaurants nearby. The grounds were beautiful!

United States of AmericaIf we had to get our keys fixed to get into the room it was a really far walk from the pool to the lobby and you had to walk outside along the street.
Super cute and clean!! Right across the street from the water.

United States of AmericaWe didn't like having our room right in front of the pool , we can hear everyone until 10pm. Suggestion, maybe only put people over in that area that travel with children. One of the days our room didn't get cleaned, we had to ask for more towels, cups and creamer for coffee.
I liked how close to the beach the hotel is, I liked the firepits out front of hotel , we sat out there on our last evening. I would like an upstairs room next time we visit and not so close to the pool where we hear everything. I liked that we could get beach chairs from hotel and sit on the beach. We always like eating at Chad's cafe.

United States of AmericaThe room was a bit dated, and had thin walls, so it was easy to hear your neighbors, and made us feel bad for others when our 6 month old would cry at night.
Hotel Milo's location made it easy to walk to the beach and all of the shops and restaurants around State Street.

United States of AmericaFamilies with kids were very noisy both days, I know it wasn't the hotels fault but they were rude. Maybe the hotel can communicate to families better, to keep the noise down before 8 am.
Hotel staff was very helpful and pleasant, I asked for an early check in and they were able to accommodate me. Beds were comfortable! Great location right in the middle of the marina and the pier and easy walk to restaurants.

United KingdomService and lack of a bar/restaurant.
The place is on a busy road made up of lots of small houses. I had to walk through a garden to get to my unit which was at the back by another back road, that was being used by a family who had two dogs who were frightening. Every time I walked out they were there looking at me. The facilities were minimal. No restaurant, no bar. The reception staff were unhelpful once they knew I had booked through booking.com. My phone did not work so I could not call down to find anything out. The room was tired with an air conditioner from the 80s that sounded like an aeroplane in the room. The Italian restaurant nearby was good as was the old fashioned cafe. But the place felt tired and in need of a facelift.
