Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaI wish the hot tub was open outside just daylight hours. I understand the need for quiet in the evenings, but perhaps there could be a 9:30 pm cutoff instead of daylight hours.
Amanda was so kind and a great breakfast chef! My mom and I really enjoyed our stay. All the instructions were easy to follow and it was a super clean and comfy place to stay nestled among the trees.

United States of AmericaWe liked everything about the property.
The property is a lovely, serene and peaceful. Beautiful deck overlooking a pond surrounded by beautiful landscaping and hardscaping. Nature is all around - so many birds! You are wrapped in comfort the second you walk into b and b. So much attention to detail and Amanda has thought of everything. The bed is so comfortable as are all furnishings. The food is simply amazing.

CanadaMy only suggestion is stronger coffee in the morning. Maybe a Kerurig coffee machine for round the clock access? Other then that the place was spectacular.

Amanda is a great host who goes above and beyond to ensure your every need is met. United States of AmericaBreakfast was awesome both mornings. Enjoyed sitting out on the deck watching the birds while eating. The Victorian bathroom was a highlight. The shower is massive and the water pressure was great. The claw foot tub was a hit as well. All the touches from the soap to the robes, and Amanda set out a great bottle of wine for us for our 15th anniversary. There is a large and eclectic library upstairs to peruse and I chose a few to read in the comfortable chairs in our room. We can't wait to go back!

United States of Americaother B&B's we have stayed in had snacks available throughout the day and some had happy hour with wine. It would have been nice to have those amenities but did not deter us from enjoying our stay.
Amanda, our host was a culinary expert. She prepared wonderful breakfasts each day. We loved the low key environment. There are 5 rooms in this quaint b&b.

United States of AmericaEverything was perfect. People with mobility issues would do well to inquire about access
Breakfast was perfectly cooked and presented featuring a pastry of the day - on one morning it was palmiers and on the next chocolate chip scones. - served with fresh fruit. Tea and coffee were very good and available throughout the day. Accommodation was very comfortable - our king size bed was great and had a pair of easy chairs beside the window so we could enjoy the view. Throughout the property there were inviting places to sit and relax - Adirondack chairs on the grass, a spacious furnished deck, a sitting area inside with a view of pond and the bird feeders, a delightful little library nook with a computer for guest use. In our room the king size bed was wonderful and there were a couple of easy chairs by the window so we could enjoy the pond view.

United States of AmericaAmanda put so much thought and care into every aspect of the B&B that made the stay so comfortable and enjoyable. Some specifics/ highlights: * The breakfast - really stellar breakfast with ample variety and options. Amanda is especially such a great baker and prepared us pastries + fruit to go when we didn't have time for a sit down breakfast. * The premises are just stunning. Really lovely pond in the back with lots of outdoor seating. The house itself was also really clean and spacious with lots of areas to lounge/ eat. * There's a hot tub! Also with a great view. * The bedroom (we booked the Goldfinch, which has a separate entry) was so lovely. The shower was a bit tight, but that's the only small note I had. The bed is SO comfortable and the sheets were so incredibly soft. * Ample water + tea - bring your water bottle/ thermos and you won't need to be worried about being hydrated.
