Nothing in particular. The prices left a dent... But that's true of all places in Hawaii! :( . Nothing new! At least, here we had a good experience after paying those prices.

Nice, spacious, clean, and well-appointed apartments. The lanai is a highlight. Very close to Poiu Beach (5-10 min walk or 2 min drive).

The room was not clean. It had bugs & the shower glass had never been cleaned. The entire apartment was vintage 1960 with very limited utensils. Relative to the the rest of the complex ( grounds etc ) unit 103 bldg 17 was and is very subpar. I suspect the owners have never spent $1 upgrading it since it was constructed . I would advise others to not rent this unit until the owners take a bit more pride in it Cheers John

The Moir garden. Property if 35 acres was lovely. My location was loud. Cars on the main road and screeching in the lot. In addition the neighbors above woke me every day at 4-5 am with so much stomping and it continued throughout the entire day each day. That was a nightmare.

Staff didn’t provide us with much information or recommendations. The pool was far from the beach. Cleaning is very expensive.

Pool across highway. Office staff was snipping and reluctant to being friendly. Teenager type of attitude. Only spoke to them twice.

A couple of the items in the unit did not work (can opener, TV remote), but the staff was quick to provide a replacement when we asked. The units are a little dated, but at least we felt it was clean. If you're looking for a posh resort, this probably isn't for you, but we found it to be comfortable.

We loved the central lawn just above the beach which was in walking distance to the unit. The beach towel service included with our stay was convenient. Staff was very friendly and responsive.

The room was very comfortable. I liked having access to the pool and gym. The location was good for the interests I have.

The unit was pretty outdated despite the bathrooms and kitchen being updated. We had gnats covering our towels and found 3-4 cockroaches during our stay. The carpet was crunchy/crusty.

The location was on point. The grounds were beautiful and well kept.

This is not the case with all downstairs units but this particular one did not have great sound insulation between the upstairs floor and our ceiling. Consequently, we could hear our upstairs neighbors walking around, normally not a problem, but they liked to get up at 5:45am. A bit early for us on vacation.

We had a ground floor unit which made access to the lanai, lawn and beach effortless. The unit was nicely appointed, with a full kitchen, and was well equipped with everything we needed for morning coffee and breakfast, lunch and a blender for cocktails each evening overlooking the ocean sunset.

No AC in Hawaii? Ridiculous. The slat windows are a nice thought but provide little to no privacy. Quite a few of the things in the room (light switch, power outlet, etc) didn't work properly.

Receiptionist lied and said there was no A/C on the property. When I booked, it said A/C and the maintenance man confirmed there was A/C as well.

No easily accessible facilities - swimming pool part of a athletic club across the street away from the beach. The charge you a heavy cleaning fee, but no cleaning services during your stay.

The room itself was very comfortable and clean.
