눉1. I had to move from a room (227) whose toilet flush was running continuously, and they did not correct that despite my stressed mentioning and despite the California water shortage. They moved me to another room (259) second of the 4 nights of my stay. 2. Room 259, though, had another problem: The door to the bathroom was loose from the frame and I almost injured myself by having that heavy door fall on me. I kept the door open for the entire period and leaning on the loose screws and the frame. The toilet paper was on the siphon since the bar in the TP container was missing. Did I report these to the office? No, since I lost my hope they would even care, despite their nice reaction. 3. I had emphasized through Booking.com that I needed a nonsmoking room with no smoking around me; yet the entire environment was smelling like heavy and chronically-penetrated smoke everywhere, including the pillows, sheets, and blankets in both rooms and I am sure all rooms. It was a rip off for almost $62/night. I tried other places and they were all booked up. 4. There were yelling and -door-pounding sounds almost every night as late as 1:30 AM; sleeping was a void wish. They had promised me to give me some refund at the end; this was like other maintenance void promises!! I will never go to Motel 6 and never use Booking.com anymore. Just pretending that you or they care is even worse than ignoring the entire SWEET experience. I received a similar evaluation from Motel 6 management and they responded at the end that: "We at Motel 6 strive every day to provide best services to our customers" With empty mottoes like that, what would one expect from their powerless personnel to do in response to travelers' complaints? Well, empty promises and similar mottoes!!!!!!!
눇Workers at all levels, including the maids, receptionists, and the manager were all very impressively cooperative and were willing to keep me happy, especially after learning that I was a full professor of economics and the last time used a motel instead of good hotels was in the 1970s.
