How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Dirty floors, my feet were really dirty after walking just a few steps after the shower. TV was really bad and the WiFi was kind of non existent. Ok if you just need a bed for a night prior to travel. But a bit expensive for what you get.
Close to airport. Bed was OK.

The floors were extremely dirty. After walking around for a short time the bottoms of our feet were black with filth. I doubt they had been cleaned properly in weeks. There were cockroaches in the bathroom, most likely coming up through the shower drain. Could be a real nice place if some proper cleaning and remodeling were to be done.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The free shuttles from the airport and to the cruise terminal were great. The beds were comfortable for the night. The air conditioner worked very well and kept our room at a comfortable temperature throughout the night.

They were building and the reception is filthy and receprion toilet filthy and broken
Glad we stayed past reception as rooms clean and very functional. Nice view of pool area. Good sleep which is all we needed

No breakfast. We accidentally left our canes in the room and they have not been returned to us. Our name and address were on each cane.

Too close to the airport. Questionable people around the parking lot. Police tape that should have been removed from a stairwell. Front desk staff not particularly friendly.
Our room was clean. The pool looked nice although quite cold to swim.

If you extend your stay with booking.com you have to re pay the same deposit again and again every time you extend.
The amenities are very decent, but it is an old hotel that needs attention. It is not bad for what you pay for as Fort Lauderdale has become very expensive. All in all I do return here because it's not bad for what you pay for.

If you extend your stay with booking.com you have to re pay the same deposit over and over. If you stay for more than a week they still charge you very expensive weekend rates.
The amenities are very decent, but it is an old hotel that needs attention. It is not bad for what you pay for as Fort Lauderdale has become very expensive.

The customer service was poor, From the drive to front desks. Things were said by the driver and customer service that seemed prejudice. I had a suitcase my room was at the back of the building it's a long walk with 2 flight of stairs. After walking to my room my key wasn't working when I call for help. The front desk ask me to leave my luggage at the door. I told them that's not safe they said "well start walking back. There is no one to assist in taking a key to you" . So I walked back then I was told they sent a grounds man. When I went back the door was wide open. The front desk gave me attitude as if I was asking too much questions. The driver wanted me to pick up my suitcase after picking up everyone else. And was rudely asking where am I going as if I shouldn't board the shuttle. NB I was at the airport my suitcase was under 50lbs.
The room was great it was clean, AC work, the location was close to the airport. They provided a shuttle so that was convenient it picked me up from and brought me to the airport. On a timely manner no long wait.

The customer service wasn't all that good at the front. The house keepers were very good, pleasant and hardworking.
There was no breakfast just a little coffee. I didn't like the location.

Super damp rooms, floors stayed wet the entire stay. No breakfast available other than food truck on site. Washroom tiles could have been a little cleaner.
Location by the airport is perfect. Free airport shuttle was great. Comfy, clean, mostly modern rooms. Staff were helpful in storing our luggage before check in.

It is clearly understood that this Inn is well used so it shows that traffic. The staff are stressed due to scheduling trips to and from the airport and cruise port.
