Red River Inn is no-frills lodging. Along with a lower rate than one would pay in larger nearby towns, one must do without a number of common amenities. No Kleenex, drinking glasses, or cups in the bath, though strangely an ice bucket is included. However, bottled water is provided gratis in the room refrigerator. Coffee maker? What's a coffee maker? (Good latte at cafe down the street, though.) Soap is in the form of small tabs that don't lather much. Shampoo is in little hard-to-open squeeze packs. (I used my own soap and shampoo.) The industrial white terry towels have been laundered nearly to oblivion. The key cards are finicky and sometimes take several tries before they unlock the door. (The receptionist advised me of that potential during check-in.) The flat screen in my room reduced the size of the picture by about half. Despite considerable tinkering with Settings on the remote control, I could not get the picture to fill the screen. None of these disadvantages are deal-breakers for me, but they indicate that the motel has room for improvement.

Easy access from I-70, without exposure to highway noise. Clean, comfortable, good WiFi, TV with many cable/sat channels. AC kept room comfortable on a hot day. Open screened windows at night let in cool, fresh air. Hot water was prompt and plentiful. Nice mid-size fridge with separate freezer compartment kept the freeze-packs for my ice chest solid overnight. Reasonable rates, especially in comparison to accommodations in nearby larger towns. In the nearby Silt business district, within easy walking distance from the motel, there are at least one quite good restaurant, a few taco/burrito trucks, and a good cafe/bakery. The receptionist was personally helpful with tricky electronic key card that was difficult to use.

It could use an update. Old school motel. Maybe some geraniums planted? A little personal love.

I loved the proximity to the tiny Silt downtown street and the alpaca farm. The desk person helped us change rooms when we were next to a room with lots of loud music and talking (we needed to sleep).

Everything was fine, other than for 150 dollars nothing at all for breakfast.

Location and the room was clean and beds ok. Considering the cost of some of the other hotels it was a nice place to stay so give it good marks for value.

This sink was slow to drain. The breakfast place beside the hotel was much more expensive than expected.

We wanted a location close to the highway and we were very happy they let us park our van and trailer right out front where we could keep an eye on it!!

For the price for the tournament we were coming for a sports tournament, it did what it needed to do.
