Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaConstruction -- there was drilling until about 6pm. It would've been nice to know about this prior to arriving on site. It did not disturb our sleep. There were strong smells of paint and glue when we arrived to the hotel and in our room. Since I didn't know there was any contruction, I was not expecting any of this.
Loved the breakfast! Staff was very helpful and friendly. Decor was updated from last time I stayed here. Can't beat the location. So close to the north end and the garden!

United States of AmericaUnfortunately, construction was going on, which I feel is sometimes inevitable. It was very quiet at night, so it didn't interrupt our sleep, which was appreciated. We did not realize parking at the hotel was a separate charge, and unfortunately, it was very expensive.
The staff were welcoming. The room was beautiful and clean. Convenient location to visit attractions like the science museum and aquarium. Breakfast options were plentiful and delicious.

United States of AmericaThe sofa bed was, to say the least, uncomfortable. I'd recommend to stay away from a sofa bed :)
I loved the location, it's amazing for dog owners because there's a dog park 2 min walk. The staff has been very nice and kind, and they helped me when I ran out of dog bags too. Overall, amazing location, good room facilities and easy to walk from.

AustraliaStaff were not overly friendly or welcoming. Paper plates for breakfast, hotel going under refurbishment, but they could still cook in the kitchen, why not be able to wash dishes. Asked for extra bedding for the fold out and were given one blanket, it's winter.
The room was comfortable and the hotel was in a great location.

United States of AmericaThe rooms are pretty aged and could use new mattresses, sheets and pillows. It may also not hurt to install new curtains that block out all of the light on the edges of the windows.
The hotel is in a nice location, and the breakfast was very diverse!

GermanyThey do not provide room service if you "only stay two nights". That is a bit disappointing if you pay over $450 for a night. Leaving that aside, it would at least have been nice if the person at the check-in had told us that, or if there were easily perceptible notices in the room or something. Not knowing that, we had thrown the towels on the floor when leaving the room the next day. We had to make our beds ourselves and ask for new towels when coming back in the evening. Also the room was explicitly booked for four people, yet the sofa bed was not prepared, so we had fold that one out and put the linen on ourselves. In theory all not a problem, but not for that price.
Really good location just a few footsteps over the bridge from the city center of Boston and the north end, so no need for taxis or Uber to get into town. The nice pubs and restaurants in Charlestown to the other side are equally close. Good breakfast and nice view over the harbor. The rooms are very soundproof, we did not hear anything from the people around us. Special thanks to Dottie from the reception who gave us a lot of helpful tips, if she is there, ask her if you want to know anything.
