We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United States of AmericaThe ice machine on our floor (20th) did not work and we tried to call housekeeping for some ice - had problem getting the phone to work, but finally got an operator who said she would send some ice. We waited approximately 45 minutes with no ice arrival - finally called to cancel the request and operator seemed surprised that it had not been delivered.
Building is lovely and we were very impressed with the friendliness of staff. Beds were wonderful. Valet parking went very smoothly.

IndiaIconic old bank converted to a great lobby. In the night this converts into a lively bar space. Location of the hotel is great and within walkable distance to all the historic places. Rooms are big and comfortable.

United KingdomRoom wasn't exactly grand and with only one armchair...the other person has to stand or lie on the bed. Once you leave the grand facade, the room tower is all a little bit tired, with lifts that squeak. Aside from a bottle of water, everything else in the room is offered at a high price. They can't do much about Philadelphia but within two minutes of leaving the hotel you're in the remnants of what once was a great City but everything is now boarded up and for sale and it's sadly awash with homelessness, beggars and people seriously in need of mental health care.
The 1908 Bank Building was stunning in terms of architecture. Bar staff were excellent. Good pillows, comfy bed and great view.

IndonesiaThe hotel staff was very friendly but some people at the valet was unpolite and very inefficient. Despite calling 10 mins ahead for the car, I only got it after 30minutes as the valet guy made a mistake and had no feeling of guilt what so ever.
Location was bang in the center of town. We got the room with the view of the roundabout which was very beautiful.

The noise from bikers along Broad Street was excessive, especially at night from 2200 to 0100 hours. Please have your civil authorities enforce a quiet zone around the hotel. The noise was very annoying.

United States of AmericaThis is, for sure, my first and last time at a Ritz-Carlton Hotel. I paid over $800 for a night, and I received very mediocre attention from the moment I stepped in until the moment I left. They were primarily rude and didn't care to make a guest feel comfortable. On top of everything, they tried to give me an inferior room that I had to complain about for them to change, and they wanted to bill me for charges like a double parking overnight fee and breakfast that I had already paid. So, I had to complain twice to get those refunds they did by “mistake.” I will never stay again in a Ritz-Carlton.
The building itself is beautiful.

United States of AmericaDidn’t clean my room until I asked. Inconsistent with turn down service. Did not communicate about complimentary internet. Also when my friend and I were trying to get her stroller up the stairs none of the doormen offered to help, they just stood and watched us struggle.
Great location and liked that the gym was 24 hours though a little dated.
