Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaRoom smelled like stale cigarette smoke. This should never happen in a non-smoking property. No servers at the patio on Los Olas in the afternoon. Had to get our own drinks. Boathouse was closed, unless paying with cash and told by one person we could make a reservation for later that day and told by another person we could not. We have stayed at the Riverside several times and we were looking forward to another pleasant visit. The room needed to be freshened up (which it was after complaining), the lack of a server on the patio and the run-around at the Boathouse combined to make it a not-so-pleasant visit this time.
Comfortable, roomy room that we paid $40 extra so we could check in early.

CanadaThe only problem was that upon arrival there was a fire alarm in the building. We walked down 10 flights of stairs only for it to be some child that was messing around with the fire alarm. The same thing happened the next morning and turned out to be a false alarm again. So frustrating!

CanadaPiano player in the lobby / bar was a bit loud for my taste... the cost of parking was a bit of an irritant.
Didn't expect the hotel to be in such an excellent location, restaurants, the beautiful walking paths along the canal. The hotel was more upscale than we expected, rooms showed a slight bit of age but nothing to complain about . Apparently, the hotel is having renovations done this year, hoping it won't become pricier as a result. Would definitely stay there again if the price remained similar to what we paid.

Love this hotel. Nice staff, excellent grounds, 3,4 bars, Right on the river walk. Had an exceptional breakfast. Right on Las Olas St. All kinds of really good restaurants and shopping. Shuttle to Port everglades was 12 bucks per person. Runs every hour. One night, a couple drinks by the pool x2, breakfast, 500 bucks including all taxes and tips. I mean, what are u going to do? U want to be in the heart of the city, this is it. . I will stay here again.

United KingdomBar person on Preston’s was most unpleasant bordering on rude. Did her job but a poor advert for the hotel. Of the three nights we ate breakfast once in hotel, but didn’t rate it so went elsewhere for other two days. Boathouse, again booked in for two nights, but after first night decided to cancel second booking.
Room was very good as ,friends staying at the hotel just before us, asked management to look after us. Room was we believe an upgrade.

United KingdomRestaurant for breakfast was nice but staff a little rude (wild sea las olas). We weren't asked if we wanted a drink when taking our food order and felt a bit out of place with our children, as though we weren't good enough to be eating there. Also there's no clear instruction before you arrive on the website as to how you get to the parking, we ended up parking in a public car park costing over $100! Also we were turned away twice from the Boathouse saying they were booked up when we just wanted to have a drink, only to find the garden area was near empty.
We liked the location and how there were lots of restaurants around us. Breakfast was nice and very filling. Room was clean, spacious and a great view of the river and city.
